Hunting Pressure Help
Getting more into the nuances of the game after spending my first ~100 hours without looking anything up (later found out I have 4 should be diamonds that are gold due to wrong amo/no vitals. Woops). What are ways to avoid creating hunting pressure? I know tripods work, but do ground blinds or anything else? I don't have the tripod DLC, and hunting from my ground blind seems to create hunting pressure. Am I doing something wrong from it, or do I need to grab the tripod DLC? Any help/clarification is appreciated!

Normaly every animal kill should generate hunting pressure, but putting all the hunting pressure on one spot is easy by shouting geese and or ducks at decoys zone or just at lakes.

Killing 4 animals in one location will destroy a zone if one is in the pressure area. You can kill 3 animals on foot or 15 in a stand/blind and not loose the zone.

From the first animal you shoot another 13 animals need to be shot to clear the pressure from the first animal. If you killed 2 in that area it will take longer but don't believe it takes 26,39 animals etc.

Forgot to say stands clear pressure as quick as normal kills but it raises slower when using them. You can have a map with hardly any pressure in game if just using stands and blinds to hunt but they cost £16000 in game for 1 so you would need to carry one if doing this method.

Thank you, that explains it! Can Need Zones get recreated if destroyed? I ruined what was once my favorite spot, so the occasional few animals show up, but not the herd I hunted to apparent extinction

Using bows lower hunter pressure, also, in DLC weapon pack 3, there is a high powered air rifle that can take deer. I've read people really enjoy using that for deer hunting from tripods and greatly reduced hunter pressure.

Bows and the air rifle have the same affect as any other weapon in the game. The stands/blinds will give reduced pressure but nothing else.

The only advantage to using them is there quieter so animals in the distance don't spook as much. Approx 50M for the bow and 100M for the air rifle.

Oh cool, thanks! didn't know that :steamfacepalm:
