Three firearms will pretty much cover everything.
you can take that loadout to any map and hunt everything with it
.45 does well in a 50-100 range. It actually goes well and beyond to 250 meters at a shooting range, but I hunt in a 100 range anyways.
A birdshot's decent at 20-30 meters.
.357 Magnum revolver for coyote
.30-06 or M1 for deer
.300 or .338 for black bear, elk and moose
The new muzzle loader can do both deers, bear, elk and moose.
.22 for Rabbit. (ducks i grab 2 shot guns and hit my blinds)
.243 for long range coyote and deer.
.7mm for long range big guys
.357 mag for close coyote and maybe blacktail
crossbow for anything close (i dont usually carry the small game ammo)
this is what i've been using, works for all animals on the map.
.22 pistol (set zero if you have the perk/skill at 50 and adjust aim for closer targets, 25m zero is bugged to hell)
.45 revolver w/hard nose (class 2-4)
M1 for deer and bear and Elk
xbow w/600 gr bolts for moose
My quick slots -
1 = Binocs
2 = .22 pistol
3 = Distressed Rabbit call
4 = .45 Revolver
5 = Deer Bleat Call
6 = Buck Snort/Wheeze Call
7 = M1
8 = Distressed Fawn Call
9 = Xbow
10 = Moose Call

It used to be not ethical for black bears with old scoring method when using .300 and .338 but looks like all bears are now class 7 and fair game for .300 and .338. Shot four black bears with .300 yesterday, worked like a charm.
