Andersson .22 LR Pistol zeroed for 200m+?
The pistol is consistently shooting extremely high at 50m, 100m, 150m, all the way out to 200m at the Hirschfelden range, both with and without the pistol scope. The rifle on the other hand shoots just fine.

Anyone else experiencing this? I wanted to take a pistol along for shooting rabbit and birds, but looks like that will have to be the .45 with .410 shot instead of .22 LR.

nope i was using it last night skilling up handguns to unlock the .454 had no issues hitting rabbits and ducks up to 50m away. I'll take it to the shooting range in hirsch on my lunch break in a few and see what it does there. I use the scope with it and the zeroing perk

Just tried shooting some mallards on Layton Lake and I have the same problem with the .22 rifle, Ducks are at 102m, range set a 100m and the rounds pass well above the target. Also noticed that the Ascent scope looks different now on all the other rifles but not on the .22.

22 pistol is fine. i didn't test the rifle. Quick vid of my test at the Hirsch shooting range.

Excuse the pauses :) my son was talking to me as i did this. I set the zero at 50 and hit the bullseye each time. at 100m with zero at 75m it was a touch low, just like it should be.

22 rifle works fine for me, but i tried to shoot a rabbit with the 22 pistol + scope at around 5-10m and i overshot it by around 1m

Were you using the handgun scope and or zeroed for a further distance? Sometimes that can cause it to shoot high, I have it best shooting rabbits up close with the 22 pistol when I use the ironsights and zero for 25 meters

i used the handgun scope. cant remember the zeroing, but i played this game for close to 1000hours and never had anything like that happen to me. the bullet went so high, it hit the ground meters behind the rabbit. it would still be a very strange shot if i had zeroed the scope to the maximum range

Strange... maybe there was server desync and the game still thought you were zeroed for 75 or positioned line of fire much higher than where you were aiming? I've had similar things happen from my internet or steam connection getting suppressed by cloud cover, a storm, or a sattelite blindspot.

normally i would just move on as long as it doesnt happen again, but then i saw this thread.
maybe it was a 1 time thing though

like i said i haven't' tested the rifle yet, but the pistol is shooting fine, I was leveling up handguns last night on rabbits and ducks with no issues from close range to 50 or 60m or so. and today after downloading the patch the video above has it shooting dead on at 50 and 100m
Freki Mar 26, 2020 @ 3:16pm
the .22 pistol is shooting way high at the short range setting. The mid and long range settings are fine. My .22 on the 25m range setting is hitting at about 225m at the range. I figured something was wrong when I missed 7 shots at less than 40m. It was fine till the patch today.

Hmm, maybe it only affects certain users. Because it definitely is affecting me. I play on PC. Shooting at the range, without the zeroing perk, scope on, 50m:

At 200m it hits about 2.5 rings above the center, which lines up with what Freki is saying about hitting at around 225m.

you might have something there. i only tested 50 and 75m zero's. i'll try the CC shooting range and see what i get at short ranges

I do not know about the pistol. Would not use it for longer distances anyway. But when shooting hares for the perfect liebre mission in Spain I had problems with the .22lr on longer distances. I tend to think it has a quite a fast drop because of the lack of velocity.

I have seen videos online of a very skilfull hunter shooting ducks long range, notching the crosshair all the way up.
So if you would have the zeroing perk on 150m and you shoot at closer race I would expect you to overshoot all targets hugely.

Nope, i just discovered the same thing today. I was shooting geese at around 25m and i couldnt hit anything. thought it was strange since i saw a shot land way behind the goose. So i went to the gunrange to try it out. If i zero on 25m i overshoot the 50m target way up. so i put up the 200m target and hit dead center... 50 and 75m seems to be zeroed at roughly the same.

Just to see if this happened on other guns i used the magnum but that worked like it should, i havent tested my other rifles yet. but maybe i should.
