Excuse the pauses :) my son was talking to me as i did this. I set the zero at 50 and hit the bullseye each time. at 100m with zero at 75m it was a touch low, just like it should be.
Were you using the handgun scope and or zeroed for a further distance? Sometimes that can cause it to shoot high, I have it best shooting rabbits up close with the 22 pistol when I use the ironsights and zero for 25 meters
Strange... maybe there was server desync and the game still thought you were zeroed for 75 or positioned line of fire much higher than where you were aiming? I've had similar things happen from my internet or steam connection getting suppressed by cloud cover, a storm, or a sattelite blindspot.
maybe it was a 1 time thing though

At 200m it hits about 2.5 rings above the center, which lines up with what Freki is saying about hitting at around 225m.
I have seen videos online of a very skilfull hunter shooting ducks long range, notching the crosshair all the way up.
So if you would have the zeroing perk on 150m and you shoot at closer race I would expect you to overshoot all targets hugely.
Nope, i just discovered the same thing today. I was shooting geese at around 25m and i couldnt hit anything. thought it was strange since i saw a shot land way behind the goose. So i went to the gunrange to try it out. If i zero on 25m i overshoot the 50m target way up. so i put up the 200m target and hit dead center... 50 and 75m seems to be zeroed at roughly the same.
Just to see if this happened on other guns i used the magnum but that worked like it should, i havent tested my other rifles yet. but maybe i should.
