Does fast traveling to a tent scare away the animals?
I know placing/removing them does scare them but no idea if fast traveling makes noise too. I've been placing my tents ~200m away from the hotspots where I usually hunt, just in case.

And while we are on the subject of tents & ground blinds, do ground blinds also reduce the hunting pressure by 3/4ths like the tripod does?

Yes, they scare animals around 250m, so my experience with them.

Yes, ground blinds have same reduced pressure rate as tripods on the ground, on trees or game stands.

Incidental tid bit: Fast traveling out of an area will also spook animals. So if you forgot to bring the .22 or bird shot and spot a level 3 duck not 50 meters away.....

range is only 150m though from what i've seen.

i set a tent in middle of a frozen lake on Taiga to go for bear, lynx and reindeer. If they are at the lake's side, what is 220m they spook. If they are a bit higher on the side, what is 260-270m, they don't spook. The other side with a need zone is around 230-240m where they drink and the bear and musk deer spook also there.

When i go for duck on my layton spots i lay on ground and fast travel from this position. The tents are below 50m from duck places and they don't spook, when i travel in. Probably i dump the tent with the head, when i travel while standing.

But if you fast travel to a duck spot with this lvl 3 duck, why don't you just take the .22 out of the tent? :cozybethesda:

They must have changed that recently? last few patches anyway. Back when i did the moose mission in Layton to shoot one at 150m+ from a blind, i dropped tent and blind in the swamp, had a moose 170m or so and it didn't even twitch an ear. This has been a while ago though, July or maybe August last year.
When laying a tent is louder than an elk call or ANY call for that matter... How does that make any sense?
