Let's talk about Geese & their active times.

I've spent a lot of time this past week hunting geese thanks to a temp layoff from work.

I started the week by reading the info in the codex on geese and getting 3 sets of decoys setup. My first is in Rathenfeldt Strawfields, the second is in Schonfeldt, and the 3rd I set up to test the "popular" goose spot in Mullerwald. Each site has 20 decoys set up in a roughly 20m diameter circle with a water foul blind about 30m away (I started with the layout blinds but they are 100% useless)

Generally my time hunting started like this:

log on.
fast travel to a tent by one of my goose setups if I'm not already there
rest until the next morning, between 7:30-9:00
go to the blind & call geese until they show up
start shooting, collect, & repeat until they stop showing up.
I spend the rest of the day looking for fallow/roe deer and then at about 16:30 I go to one of the deer blinds I have set up and get as many of those as I can. then at 19:00-22:00 head to the geese tent again and repeat.

I've shot probably upwards of 50 golds and saw what was probably a diamond while getting my 3rd stand set up.. so of course I didn't have a gun on me (never again).

For the first few days there were a literally ♥♥♥♥ ton of geese dead around my blinds and I wasn't picky about what I shot.

Then they started to seem to come to each of the stands less and less frequently. Once this started happening I started to be more selective about what I was shooting. I'd only take 2+ rated males. I saw plenty of 3's & 4's (possible gold).

Eventually it got to a point where I would see a SINGLE goose between 7:30-14:00, at which point I gave up on geese and started going after deer again.


Now here is the part I am really confused on... I just tried hunting boar for the first time and there are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of geese flying around between 19:00-3:00. Did I hunt them so much that they became nocturnal animals, or are they flying around 24/7 and I didn't notice because I have never hunted at night before?

If their schedule changed it would be really REALLY nice to have an in game way to find out that animals schedules can change based on our hunting habits. If their schedule doesn't changed based on hunting, WTF is going on with my geese?
