Animals seem more aware and skittish?

I think you mean that animals now detect you more easily. I have been able to see that they detect you even though you are hiding in the bushes with visibility 0 and noise 0, also with wind against the animals. I wonder if this is good in the game or is a kind of experimental phase that developers are improving or worsening. ???????????

Please can maybe the devs turn the update back with regards to awareness and skittishness. Because they are alerting like 250+ meters away sometimes when you are 1-2 bar of noise crouched. Its very frustrating because you are not rewarded for stealth, Just doing long range shots.

Thay are not just skittish thay seem to be bullet proof ?? I have just put 5 shots into a Boar`s head and the thing just ran at me . 2 with a 243 poly and 3 with the 7mm poly and only then after dodging the thing it died ? . Yet i have just dropped a black Bear at distance with the 7mm ?

You are using the wrong calibur weapons and ammo.

Use the 270 not the 243.

The 243 is for smaller weapon class 2 animals like blacktails whilst the 270s is for larger weapon class 2 animals like boar or whitetails.

You can also use the 420GR arrow/Bolts for the bows/crossbows.

The game presents a problem with the detection of the animal to the hunter, players must realize that now it is almost impossible for an animal not to detect you even being very stealthy in the animal's stalking ..... to my understanding this is a serious problem.

I did not see this last night. I was hunting Roe deer with a handgun trying to handguns leveled to unlock the others and sight.

I called in Roe and sat still and they came very close and did not notice me at all. Was able to get clean broadside shots on them.

Then I ran into a pack of boars who did not hear me approaching and got a couple of them.
