ATV top speed

I've mostly only played in Hirschfelden until recently.
My friends have been dragging me to africa to try it out.

The immediate difference I noticed was how the ATV has almost 10mph less top speed, maxing at 34mph.
In Hirschfelden even after Africa has been released, I can still reach over 42mph.

This may be a small problem, but it makes the ATV feel way too slow on a map so vastly open.

Is this a known change for Africa or is this possibly another problem from playing multiplayer verses solo?
or possibly even just a HUD bug and my perceived complaints are a placebo

On road or off? When driving on a road/path you have a higher top speed.

34 is near top speed... maybe a little faster when going downhill.

On downhill road in Africa is 34mph.
I forget what the exact max speed is on downhill road in Hirschfelden, but I know it's at least 42mph.

The ATV is basically a non-factor in this game anyway, thankfully

39 mph is the top speed, cant get beyond that,, and its only achieved in Europe with their nice roads and hills, atv max speed is around low 30;s every where else, its about all you can do Figure about 22-30 mph here. unless you are in Europe.

I went to try this out, and I'm surprised, I swear this used to be faster than 40.
Maybe at one point I might have had my settings reset and been reading km/h?
I'm honestly baffled.

It still kind of sucks we can only reach 39 in Hirschfelden, these maps can feel quite massive sometimes.

You might do well to specify what units you're using to measure that speed.


We've already specified that the max speed is 39mph
which translates to roughly 60km/h.

it stands to reason that my misunderstanding was drawn from the game showing me km/h without me realizing,
the speed of 47(km/h) I remember noticing does translate to around 30mph or lower.


EDIT:
The only remaining mystery is why I thought 47km/h was top speed, safe to assume I probably wasn't paying much attention at all to the ATV until driving in Africa.

If I recall correctly I did around 80 km/h on a down-hill road in Hirschfelden. (Will try again when I am there).
But well, if all here say 60, that was probably what it was.
Just tried again -63 seems the max I can get.
