Shoot birds in air with .22 and rifles?
Where is the realism on this?

Do you hit or do you not?

I don't own the weapon pack DLC but I see a lot of people hit birds in air with the .22 also with other rifles from like 150~300m distance which is ridiculous.

The real life hunter, Patterson, who dealt with the real Tsavo lions (Ghost and the Darkness) used to practice shooting cormorants with a .303 service rifle when he was posted to Egypt. Reputedly he'd regularly score 9/10.

Not so sure about hitting birds on the wing at 200m or more with a rifle. Maybe Hancock could have done it. I did once get a teal on the wing with a .22 but that was at about 50m.

Of course, but the point I'm trying to make here is nobody goes to duck and geese hunt picks rifles instead of shotguns, it is very unpractical and there's 99% chance you'd miss the target.

I understand shooting them with small caliber when they are standing still or on water but when they are in air? Come on, not everyone is Patterson or a superman.
LOL 311m with a .22 ok....

I agree with you, there's a lot of anomalies with the game.

Not sure why people are posting their screenshots here?

To show "how good of a shot" he is... Or how inaccurate the game is when it comes to the .22.

"The .22 LR is effective to 150 yd (140 m), though practical ranges tend to be less. After 150 yd, the ballistics of the round are such that it will be difficult to compensate for the large "drop".
When zeroed for 100 yd (91 m), the arc-trajectory of the standard high-velocity .22 LR with a 40-gr bullet has a 2.7-inch rise at 50 yd (46 m), and a 10.8-inch drop at 150 yd.
A .22 LR rifle needs to be zeroed for 75 yd (69 m) to avoid overshooting small animals like squirrels at intermediate distances."
