Lions hunt you!
I was crouching near a lake watching 2 male lions drinking when I heard grass moving. I didn't even get to turn and a female had jumped on me and I died.

Before that I watched a female hunting and creeping/crawling up to a Kudu but I didn't see an attack.

Adds a whole new element now that something can hunt you.

PS. I mentioned about half a year ago that predators should be able to interact with prey or eat your kills, so if you harvest after its been eaten, you get less points. Good on them for adding realism like this.

Don't know about getting fewer pts but today I was stalking towards a herd a WBs when a lioness growled and knocked me into oblivion. Saw her just as her island sized paw jawjacked me.

Which is not realistic at all. Animals is not going to “hunt” you for the heck of it.

Cape buffalo have been known to.
Wolves and dingos do.
Lions do, and so do tigers.

So if I go out in the woods right now, I’ll have 10 or 12 Cape Buffalo, Wolves, Dingos, Lions and Tigers following right behind me? I never said animals don’t attack people.
lions have territorial behaviour in game. so if you go into it you maybe killed.

yeah, I know that. I think we got a different idea of what “hunt” is. Glad I’m not the only one that hates the addition of the lions or at least the behavior.

Did I say you'll have 10 or 12 etc right behind you? No, I didn't. I gave some examples of animals that are known to hunt people in the real world. I didn't stipulate the reasons why they may do it, only that they have been known to...which put your 'realism' argument in the bin.

The game models lions stalking and taking people, the same behaviour I've seen them do against game animals in the game. No need to provide a ridiculous response because you've shown to be wrong, particularly when no one is insulting you.

Yesterday I was attacked and killed by a huge male lion !!! It was inside the hunting lodge, it came up suddenly, quietly, and leapt in front of me, no time for any reaction. He attacked me and killed me inside the guardhouse !!!:steamfacepalm:

In 1967 I attended an Outward Bound school at the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro, the ultimate aim was to climb said mountain.

Before that we spent a week on the Masai Mara in groups of 5. (No Health and Safety in those days). The instructors and game wardens told us that if a loin hears you it will get up and move away, they will not attack unless surprised or have cubs nearby.

In the 10 years the school had been going, only one student had been knocked over by a male lion but it then ran off. He was not injured.

The biggest let down in the sim is the lack of lion roars, or any sounds at all, save for the occasional soft growl. In the evenings we heard them roaring loudly over great distances warning other males to stay out of their patch. Sent a shiver up your spine I can tell you.

I am pretty sure lions, like humans...are pretty quiet when they stalk and hunt... jus'sayin..

I am still hoping for "The Hunter" to open this forest up as a Battle Royale game ... Best forest in the gaming world.. Sooo they got my vote and thanks for adding in the element of danger.. If you walk in the North American Woods and swamps there is a good chance a gator, Mountain Lion, Black bear or Grizzly will walk away instead of attack.. but, there are times they do attack.. that's life.. this game is a short moment of life.. things get compressed..

I don't know if lion behaviour is or isn't correct, but to a gameplay point of view, it's not really fun to be killed at any moment by a lion you didn't even notice.

lions are not gonna let you hunt them they are the predators when your camping at night you have a long list animals that will ruin your day best keep off ground in RL or in a strong structure like a cabin you have many predators in rl snakes, lions, hippos hyenas, I have been there most people who go there dont get much sleep in the wild very dangerous on top that there are tribes wars they will kill you too
