Do lions hunt/kill animals?

I’m curious whether lions hunt and/or kill other animals? or do they just simply spook them away? As for feeding zones for lions, do they exist? If so wheat is found at feeding zones? Dead animals?

Found one need zone for Lions. Found nothing. If the game hadn't told me it was a need zone when I first put the bino spot on it I'd have never known. Killed the Lion though so maybe the weed, blood splotch or whatever designated it a need zone disappeared before I got there to harvest the animal.

Yes, They do. I saw a springbok remains nearby footprints of lion.
