Honestly I at this point I wish the moderators were more strict and just deleted or merged these threads for good. Complaints be damned.

I'm not sure if all the similar animals could be called reused assets, because there must be more work to it than that, but in any case I think it's a great strategy. Since they've gone through the trouble of modeling big cats and their behaviour, I'm guessing leopards would be a logical next step, possibly even cheetahs?
Personally, I'd like to see crocodiles and alligators, because they'd make the shorelines a bit more interesting and even dangerous, and they'd add value to more than one reserve. In terms of hippos, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, etc, I guess it comes down to whether or not potential future Vurhonga-only sales would be worth the effort involved in creating something so dissimilar to what's already in the game, along with new weapons to deal with them. I guess we'll see, but I'd definitely be interested.
I don't think the game should be about running full-tilt through the forest scoring Texas heartshots on fleeing pandas, but I also don't think it should be Strait-laced Joe's Fully Ethical Hunting Experience - brought to you by Folgers. There's a middle ground that's both fun and profitable without being completely tasteless, and I'm glad they've stepped further into it.
Lets say you are about to hunt elephant. You will need to buy a license at "Docs Outfitter" online store for about 40.000 bucks. Now you can go and shoot one elephant.
-> there will be no "slaughtering" of endangered species (players are more picky)
-> it´s a possibility to put your money somewhere
-> replayability
-> reference to real life where licenses generate money for rangers and wildlife projects and thus help to protect endangered species
I hope they never do anything like this, myself, unless it's as an option. If I knew I'd be forced to shoot the equivalent of 40+ deer every time I wanted to shoot a lion, I wouldn't buy the DLC. It also kind of re-frames shooting regular animals as a chore instead of as something inherently fun. Delayed gratification is important, but the game already has that in spades, what with the grind for the guns and the overall gameplay vs shooting gallery games.
You could earn a license as part of the Hunting Club. Maybe a very rare daily. Or do both. So some people will buy a license with ingame money and other people will just log in and hope for the daily mission.
But no restrictions means "Elephant massacre in Vurhonga lol" videos on youtube.
