Anyone who believes the one effects the other in any way is suffering from a chronic inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality.
But one would hope that they play games with the full knowledge that what they are doing is only a fantasy.
And one would also hope they fully understand that many of the things they can do in that fantasy are often unacceptable in reality ... and should never be exercised in reality.
Otherwise we are all in big trouble.
Think you get my point, those are some examples that came to mind. I wouldn't really want to hunt something in this game that's not within the realm of possibility to hunt in real life, but maybe that's just me and my taste. We all play for different reasons. I think zebras could be a nice addition to Africa, if anything. As far as I know, they're nowhere near as protected. Also some food for thought: All of Warden's dialogue and mission plot in Africa indicates the rhinos were poached entirely out of the reserve. Adding them could be kinda inconsistent with the Savanna story arc if they didn't change it a bit.
it`s just a game. i would never shoot at some rhinos in real life, but in this game, hell yea, they would be fun. i hope for the missing parts of the big five.
and since you play as a park ranger, kind of, it fits perfect if they give us some tranquilizer guns, and chip them, if you don`t want to "kill" them. so you can play the game like you want. you dont have to kill them.
Rhino poachers verses park rangers.
Then people could start another Human killing fantasy game.
Wonder how many concerned activist groups would find that in Bad Taste.
The point of a video game, especially one like this, is living in a world you can't otherwise live in.
Why can't we hunt in a world where poachers have been stopped, and animal populations are thriving thanks to responsible hunting, and conservation?
Rhinos are abundant, elephants are everywhere, etc.
This game could be a hunting game in a world we want to live in, rather than a reflection of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hunting world we have in real life.
