Borders of Missions?

Had another question on missions. My current mission is to travel to kraken rope bridge. Done

Second part is to harvest a blacktail deer (M or F) shot from 200M +.

now question is does the deer have to also be within the kraken mission area or can it be outside so long as I am inside the mission area? I ask as I had a couple black tails that were just sort of skirting the eastern border of this area. Not sure if in or out without specifics on each it was hard to tell without looking at the map which side of the border they were on. I was definitely though inside the zone.

Would it qualify if I shot on that was just outside?

I believe it has to be inside the marked border to count.

OK that's what I thought just hard to call them back where the shots got to be 200M's + and the range of the lure is 200M's HA HA

I just completed this mission myself. First blacktail was a female, shot of more than 200m, didn't register. Second one was a male, shot inside of Rope Bridge area, died outside, registered.

OK so you shot it inside and that was fine and then it ran outside and died and you harvested it outside but it was fine being you shot it inside???

Finally go it but dang stupid deer first time was inside the range but was bugged HA HA lucky a White tail soon came out followed by a Blacktail so took the shot from the bridge and hit it just good enough to down the thing from standing as don't think you can shoot through the meshing on the bridge railings?

Yeah I tried shooting from the north bound path as a number of good sniping spots from up there but the border also was getting narrower in that area so a lot of ties the animal was within shooting range (200M's +) but was far enough out to be outside the border so I moved down the path towards the bridge until I finally found the bugged deer out there from the bridge. Shot a few times at the others wandering around while I was crouched but because the raining has a chain link fence covering the rail sides it seemed to interfere with the shot. Had to stand snipe it to get it but did get it. Since integrity wasn't an issue I used my 338 just to make sure whatever I shot dropped fast.

I am on this mission and have been hunting for three days (real time). I have not seen a blacktail except up in the dense forest area where it is impossible to get a 200+ shot. I did, however, kill an albino Moose.

What time of day do the blacktail come out into the open? I have hunted around the clock and not seen a blacktail in the open.

there is a trail near the rope bridge I found that if you go up on that trail there are breaks that look eastward and through out this area you can get shots of 200M's + just make sure to watch the boundaries as you have to harvest it inside the boundaries if I remember right and that is close so keep an eye on your map and the animals.

I shot it down in the valley under the bridge.
250m, and it died at the place. Mission completed.

East of the bridge, where the ground levels out, is a large need zone (drinking).

I've got the Tripod DLC, so I set it up about 230m south of the need zone, and just waited.

Easily completed the mission, and stayed there to harvest a whole bunch more deer. Made some good cash out of it.

yeah that's the area I was talking about I just shot it from above by the bridge but the same basic area was where the deers were

As long as both U and the animal are within in the boundary of the area when you hit it for the 1st time U are good to go. Even if it runs away and goes outside the boundary area before it drops dead or U deliver the killing shot.
