i'm a believer. wolves come after your kills.
the wolves come after dead animals or hunting pressure..

it's too much for luck. i kept telling myself. it's just an accident.. but.. now i've been hunting for a hour. no wolves. i manage to shoot some boar. bam. wolf sounds...

idk man. it's probably comformation bias but.. idk...

animals do not interact with each other. You'll see lion's "chasing" but there's nothing near them they're chasing. I've had bear walk right by a fresh blacktail kill and ignore it. I've had a bear in a sleep zone sitting on his ass with a white tail munching on the grass beside him.

Most likely the wolves are coming for you after shooting and drawing their attention. Or so my experience has been.

As McSqurl said, zero animal interactions. One of the big animal AI downfalls, even theHunter Classic had animal interactions.

People have been asking for this for a while, plus more animal interaction variety in general (bucks fighting, chasing does in heat, making scrapes/rubs)

ive seen wolves chase bizon and puma kills animals so... there is definitly animal interaction in the new maps... 100% sure.

i've witnessed many hunts where i wasn't the hunter with the wolves and puma.... you guys really didn't have seen that yet?

no interaction with kills you killed. i know that. but they could be testing at least attraction to red zones or something. i don't think they do but it feels that way sometimes.. idk..

Wolves, Puma, and Lion all chase animals. I've watched them chase herds many times from a distance. You won't see them actually catch their pray, but they definitely chase. However they seem to remain in "chase" behavior long after they've lost track of the animal they were chasing. Furthermore their calls and their presence will elevate the alert level of nearby animals and/or cause them to flee.

Yep they chase but don't interact. I've watched a lion run around a hill scaring away water buffalo but not doing anything more than roaring randomly and running in a circle, up the hil over the top down the other side then around the slope to do it again.

Predator feed zones have dead animals in them as the zone markers, but the predators don't interact with them either.

I'd say it's a coincidence on having a fresh kill look like it was being eaten by a predator, more likely the deer, etc. was dropped in a predator feed zone near the predator.

I was always under the impression that some predators can and do chase prey and I've seen that. I thought that was all, but I just recently learned that they can actually take down prey also.

Interesting. I was going off an old thread and stream about this where they said they would add interactions but i thought that was just the chase. i've never seen one (until now) actually interact.

Now i'll be playing PF and Africa till i see this lol

They've always chased since the Puma was first brought into the game. That was the reason they reduced the Puma population after a couple of weeks, because people were complaining that they were ruining too many diamond hunts. Actually killing the animals is news to me, though.
