Personally, I don't really like the air rifle that much because you have very limited range and penetration, and a relatively small window of animals you can hunt with it effectively without suffering penalties for kill speed. If I want to be close and silent I'd rather take a bow and be able to hunt absolutely everything with it because I have arrows or bolts with varying weapon classes.

why ? not enough small game to hunt IMHO.
Will the .22LR become obsolete to the newly improved air rifle's ?
meh... I have none of them... and I'm not paying for a DLC to obtain one neither.

no need for more, i agree with @Narf it was a worthless addition to the DLC.

I like the air rifle. Maybe it's because I'm English and that's the only rifle most of us are allowed in real life. But I just like the platform generally, also.

I'll suppose that explains it.

I've not had good luck keeping an air rifle functioning. Quality built or not.

If we are talking weapons I want more arrow types, another lever action, a .338 that is not complete trash, attachments/ customization, and most importantly... Custom loadouts...

on top of custom loadouts/equipment; I hunt with a bipod on my rifle. Would love to see that implemented or the use of shooting sticks/tripod. They can be deployed super quickly and you have 360 degrees of movement with the sticks, bipods only have so much lateral movement. I think sway while prone should be a minimum at the very least

Not necessarily an air rifle since we already have one, but a class 2 rifle with fixed bipods would be nice (naturally something you could attach to most of the guns freely would be better). A reason to use something else than Mosin. Though with then new scoring system coming, that will help as well.

I like the airgun we have in-game, definitely a fine gun to use. You have the potential to make some stealthy kills while still using a rifle and not a bow, which is great, because bows work in a completely different way and you don't always feel like using them. The .45 airgun is probably my favourite roe deer weapon.

I would like to see the .22 airgun or similar for class 0 animals (class 1 in the new system). Stealthier than .22 LR, but with lower effective range.

Might be a far reach, but suppressors are used by hunters. They are used in the US and other countries as well. While they still make enough noise for animals in the area to hear, its not as loud and doesnt always spook them. Also reduces recoil if using sub-sonic ammo and further reduces noise. I dont think it to be too far a stretch to add them to the game.

I think there are too many guns in the game already. That is not an antigun comment just what hunter has access to all the weapons we have access to?

lots. at least here in the PNW, gun collecting is a hobby for lots and lots of hunters. if i combined my collection and my brother's, or mine with my dad's, we'd have more than what's in the game. my best friend's husband has a whole room in their house just for guns, they sleep in the guest room, the master bedroom is now the gun room. never counted or asked how many he has yet, but there's over 30 on wall mounts and a few on table top mounts, from black powder to numerous AR-15 types.

I'd like to see a lower powered airgun and a change to rabbit killzones. Let us hunt rabbits the same way we do larger game. By aiming for the vitals.

Also, I would love to see more small game.

rabbits are fine now i think. i never aim for vitals on rabbits when i hunt them and rarely ever have one run away, and if they do run they don't make it far. Makes no sense to me to change the hitbox when it's already similar to IRL for rabbits.

Yeah, the last thing we need is armoured rabbits. The difficulty in hunting rabbits comes from their small size. This obviously makes them a small target, but also relatively hard to locate in the brushes, tall grass etc. They don't need to be hardy.
