Next Reserve in December
Since we most likely will get the next reserve in december, I thought it would be fun to speculate on what we might get next and what you wish for? We already have these reserves in the world map, so taking this into account and seeing where else there is to fill out the map to see a hint to where the next reserve might be?

Yukon Valley - Alaska
Layton Lake - United States
Parque Fernando - Brazil
Vurgonga Savannah - South Africa
Hirschfelden - Europe
Medved-Taiga - Russia
-------------------------------------------
This is the location I can see that have space left in the world map

Chile or Argentina
Greenland
Canada
Maurilania/Mali/Morocco/Algeria/Nigera
Australia
India/China
Japan
New Zealand

Now, there is another thing to see which of all these that have some unique animals that we have yet to have, but we also know we will continue to get repeated animals, like moose or bear that we already have in the future reserves. But I was wondering what you think would be the most likely place we will get next?

Arctic or North Pole? Penguins, Polar Bear, Raindeer although same as Caribou, Snow Hare, Arctic fox, Sea Otter?

There are tons of African animals we haven't seen yet, it is a very large continent after all and so is Russia, so I wouldn't be so quick to rule out another map of either one those areas/regions at some point. Salt water crocs? Those would be very hard to kill. Hides like kevlar, brain the size of a walnut. Quite a challenge. Hippos? They kill more people each year than Sharks, Lions, Bears and small foreign cars combined. An Aussie map would be nice though. No land based large predators to kill me there.

Australia has water buffalo.

New Zealand or Australia theme would be awesome. I hope we get another Hirschfelden type map someday to.

I am hoping its New Zealand. The imported animals is a great mix. Himalayan Tahr and Chamois, the many times requested Turkey and Pheasant. Second choice would be Scotland for wild haggis, known to hunt man since ancient times.

Lols

That would have gone over a lot of peoples heads.

Haggis are not hard to hunt now, through the centurys they seem to have grown one leg longer than the other and are known to run round in circles ...... A good 12 bore shot gun loaded with buckshot gets them everytime with 100 % integrity....

Minor correction: Parque Fernando is in Argentina (Patagonia specifically), not Brazil (where Portuguese is spoken, not Spanish).

We are certainly getting a map as there is a new set of achievements. You can see them here: https://steamcommunity.com/stats/518790/achievements/

One mentions (in Spanish) "Cuatro Colinas" ("Four Hills"), so the new reserve is likely in a Spanish-speaking area, such as Spain, the western USA, Mexico, etc. Given that people have been screaming for turkeys for so long, it might well be the Southwest, esp. since they could reuse mountain lions/pumas, mule deer, and coyotes.

There is the clue in the Hirschfelden gun range that shows a series of horns and antlers, presumably from animals on the new map. IF one were to go with the Southwest or Mexico, you could say that they are:

1. mule deer

2. pronghorn

3. bighorn sheep

4. mountain goats?

Alternately, if the map is in Spain, they could be

1. red deer ??

2. roe deer

3. mouflon

4. ibex

At the moment, I am not sure and am just speculating. My feeling is that it is the Southwest/Mexico just because of turkeys and the horns and antlers on the painting more or less fit animals from there, but who knows.

i think this "new clue" in Hirsch gun range is nothing more than a plant. Dev's dropped it in there and are sitting back laughing at all the posts trying to figure out what it's for :steammocking:

And for the OP, Yukon is both Alaska and Canada.

Southwest US map would be cool if done right. I'd love to see another African map, Central Africa this time.

Yeah, just gets killed by snakes and spiders, or lost in the bush to die of starvation and dehydration.

Although in reality we lose more hunters in the highlands and alpine zone. They break a leg in the heath, can get out, can't get comms, and the snow buries them till the thaw, and at some point someone finds whatever the dingoes and wild dogs drag out into the open. Happens every year or so that someone disappears.

Except up north...there the crocodiles disappear you.

There's so many bloody feral animals in Australia, the devs would barely have to add anything new, and I'd actually feel good about shooting them all: feral cats, feral dogs, feral foxes, feral pigs, feral deer, feral buffalo.

Don't forget dingoes...the world's first feral animal.

I'd love to see an eventual NC hunting reserve pop up. Particularly, because of a lot of the forested mountain ranges and what not. Layton Lake is pretty awesome, but Eastern USA hunting vistas would be cool. Also, I'd love to see some of the upper Midwest be huntable in this game.

If they added feral camels and goats, I am in.
