Salt licks, feeders, and bigger game decoys?
So i've only played the game a bit and noticed that these objects are missing from this game that i've seen in some other hunting games and was wondering if these are planed to be added or is this game modable enough to have them as mods?

I feel these should be some easy adds but just my opinion and wanted to know if anyone has anyone knowledge if they're going to be coming in the future.

As far as I'm aware, it's not planned.

We could eliminate the need for hunting, and just spread poisoned grain and baits around, too.

if you play the game enough youll find that using items like this would be superfluous thanks to need zones and the game being easy enough as it is

Any kind of feeders would be dumb IMO. Sounds like you just want the game to be easier.... 2 out of 10 difficulty isn't easy enough?

To be fair though, and my inherent contempt for the practices aside, bait hunting is common practice in some places.

Where I come from it's pretty much unheard of. A pair of friends visiting the US headed off to Maine for a few day on bear, while their wives practiced 'gathering' in New York's shops. The guys were gobsmacked when they weren't allowed to stalk bear at night, and had to sit in stands, in daylight, sweating off on baits.

Different strokes.

Then again, some places ban dog hunting, but we allow it on feral animals - pig and deer, primarily. In fact, I'm waiting on a pair of azawakh pups from a litter planned late next year, all going well.

Well there is you first problem they went Maine. Nobody traps bear in a tree stand where I'm from in Pennsylvania. In fact bait is illegal and its advised not to hunt bear in tree stands lol. Your not safe up there a bear can scale a tree in like 1.5 seconds.

There's a lot of different thinking about, that's for sure.

I wasent looking for the game be made easier really, this is kinda what hidden gunman said, some places do do bait hunting.

I will say that all of my knowledge is only a little that I've gotten from my grandfather, who is a hunter himself. Plus an old hunting game from 2005 on the OG Xbox that had feeders and salt licks

He owns a large amount of land in Ohio that he lives in (he's done grain and salt lick bating some time before deer season starts so they come around) and a large amount of land in West Virginia in the middle of the woods where he hasent done any baits to my knowledge but has hunted there regularly (I've been there when hes shot and cooked squirrel and BBQ'ed Frogs legs from large ones in a pond not to far from a cabin he had before some jerk burned it down.)

Where I'm from when word spreads that you bait hunt you pretty much get exiled from any hunting events, hunter's social events, and the hunters will do everything they can to screw you over. They'll steal the bate, or even poison it to try to get you fined.... and they'll even intentionally scare animals away from an area they find a bate trap. It is considered to be a way people hunt who don't want to learn how to really hunt. It's also illegal here but that's not enforced nearly to the point that it should be. Seems to be the case everywhere I've been here in the Northeast

We've had a bit from interstate poachers, and we've had to crank up policing against poaching, to mitigate against 'hunting accidents', down in our southeastern forests. They'd come over one night, spread bait and lure, then come back a few nights later. Our local folks don't take kindly to it.

Game wise though, I do think it would detract from the theme of the game, although the competitive aspect to the game is a bit lacking still.

Baiting/Feeders isn't hunting.

OK guy I said nobody baits and traps bear from a tree stand. You then said I know a lot who hunt from a tree stand which again is not what I said. In Pa at least where I'm from baiting is straight up illegal in public hunting grounds. I'm sure there are people who legally hunt bear from a stand but the groundskeepers along with fish and game don't advise it.

I understand and was merely stating that many do hunt bear from a stand. I've never heard anyone say it was unadvisable, where did you hear this?

Anyway back to the topic at hand.

I'm all for baiting as long as it's done in a way that doesn't make the game a shooting gallery. Something like what Classic has would be ok.
