Dog's barking?
Hi hunters!
Today I played Hirschfelden and while I was on the south of the map (corn fields) I heard dog's barking. I'm sure 100% it was. Do you have the same experience like me?

Yeah, dogs barking, chainsaw and airplane are environmental sounds

A roe deer can sound quite like a dog. Search youtube for "roe deer barking".

The dog barking is as Rookie said an environmental sound. Roe deer warning call sounds completely different.

and don't forget Bigfoot is out there somewhere lurking : )
Look harder and listen deeper ! ? Lol

Likely some bird making that noise. ( audio ? )
As neither Roe deer nor Fox really make a barking sound that I hear.

So true.

I always imagined that those barking noises were from a fox. I think I even heard them in Vurhonga Savanna whenever I was near jackals.

Yep, same here. Sounded like fox to me.

If it's a singly yap, it's a fox. I haven't heard dog barking, but heard plenty of foxes.

First time I heard the aircraft I kept looking for it thinking it was pretty cool.

Exactly, that´s it, an environmental sound of a dog barking in the distance. Just ignore it.

Took me a long time to figure out that the purpose of the dog barking is to give you audio cover, so that you can sneak around with less chance of being heard. Same with chainsaws and such.

You are telling me the chainsaws in Hirsch allow you to sneak up on deer easier? :steamfacepalm:

If you stand behind a large rock, your visibility to the animal AI is still the same as though the rock wasn't there. I doubt the dog barking gives you any bonus to audibility tbh. That's like people who believe that tree movement indicates wind direction (it doesn't, the outpost flags don't even show wind direction).
