The dog barking is as Rookie said an environmental sound. Roe deer warning call sounds completely different.

As neither Roe deer nor Fox really make a barking sound that I hear.

You are telling me the chainsaws in Hirsch allow you to sneak up on deer easier?
If you stand behind a large rock, your visibility to the animal AI is still the same as though the rock wasn't there. I doubt the dog barking gives you any bonus to audibility tbh. That's like people who believe that tree movement indicates wind direction (it doesn't, the outpost flags don't even show wind direction).
