I think it will, the video is still in 360p for me, but the walking animation and sounds seem top notch, can't wait to get mauled by one!
Yeah, I am still in shock that they changed their minds. I gotta say, with all the updates, Vurhonga has become quite cool.
I couldn't care less about 'Cecil' ..or the public whining from 2015.. I just find it really amusing that they now added just lions.
When people (with too much free whining-time on their hands) forgot what they were upset about in 2015, as they are to busy being upset about something else today.
Now add some nice, decently high powered weapons, that aren't just one shot break actions, and I can go moose hunting!
They scored some social brownie points with that public statement, at a time when it was in the media spotlight.
Now after seeing how much it was being requested to see these kinds of animals included in the game, they realised that their customer base is not the hysterical activist type of person that was being portrayed by the media a few years back, that would consider hunting even a virtual animal to be an irredeemable sin.
Through (sometimes) frequent direct communication with their true customer base here on the forums, social media and the poll, they see what people want and expect from their product and also realised that very few, if any of us, would actually go out their way to hunt such a magnificent and endangered animal like a lion in real life. I know I wouldn't.
So it's a win win for everyone to have them included in the game, without having any negative consequences on a topic that actually matters; real life conservation programms. Good move by them to seperate videogame content from real life issues.
didn't seem that they where planning this.
which is nice. gotta give them praise for listening to us.
But hunting lions is not what most believe it to be. Lions do three things. Hunt, eat and sleep.
They are vulnerable during the last two phases, Because...
They do not run away like prey animals at the sight of humans.
Most big game safaris are conducted during the day and the lions shot are usually found by the trackers where the lions are resting. The trophy animal picked out from the pride and killed.
The other option is to identify a lone male and track it to its resting spot and kill it there. The only time it becomes really dangerous is if the lion is a committed man eater, or if it has been wounded by an incompetent hunter.
A lion will not target humans as prey unless there is some disability present that makes hunting difficult for them. When lions are hunting the ones you can see are meant to be seen. The ones you cant see are the trap. The ambush happens very fast from about 20 to 30 metres. There is no warning. Unless you are already carrying a loaded and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ rifle you would have very little chance of telling the story.
Hunting sleeping lions will get boring very quick. There is little to brag about in that.
Realisticly, a man eater hunt every session would be ridiculous.
Having lions and hunting them is going to be difficult to integrate seamlessly into the Vurhonga story. The fact that the Grandfather decided it was time to reintroduce them to the reserve .... makes it even more difficult to then justify hunting them.
Easy continous money, thats the point. And of course add more bugs to the pool.
Im thinking that maybe they made this game only to amortize the money put in the new Avalanche engine. Generation Zero, another one, 70% copy and paste assets from THCOTW.
More bugs is the norm around here... Every DLC or addition to the game does it ! ; (
You'll be waiting for the fix to come ! ? that nay never occur.
Still playing bugged since the beginning... yes I am ! ? Lol ; (
