Duck caller and decoys not working
I have tested this for hours now and.. .After the patch it seems the caller and decoys are not working for ducks if you are set up away from a need zone. I have 10 flocks fly overhead early in the morning but none of them land by the decoys and ignore the caller. Before the patch ducks came in without a problem to this spot but after the patch it seems the ducks will only land at areas that are programmed to land. And if you are not set up in one of those areas that completly ignore the caller and decoys. The ducks will be by your decoys when you fast travel there but if you get there before 5:30 and wait for them to come in none will land. And needzones get deleted after hunting pressure.

I have taken notice of this too if you fast travel ducks are at decoys but asap you arive they fly off, from what I see the callers scare away animals not attracted them and the decoys make ducks most time do landing to far away. Not getting any where close to where you set up the decoys, seem the ducks land at proximity to their closest needed zone to the decoys. That's a bit frustrating as most times there chosen needed zone to land at are way out of effective gun range.

l can 100% comfirm that the caller is broken and the ducks just ignore it. it states in patch notes that the caller and decoys work and you shoot more ducks. its not true. ducks ignore the decoys too. if you have set up in a perfect place then thay will land but after so many hours of testing lm confirming the decoys and caller is broken as ducks will just fly past ignoreing them. :/

if this duck dlc is about place a tent by decoys and fast travel to shoot the ones by the decoys and then fast travel to the next to shoot the next, then it is worthless. l was so excited to get this dlc too :(

no hunting pressure

ducks just flying straight to a coded area ignoreing decoys and caller

the patch broke the duck caller and the feeling of hunting in a blind.
EDİT: the caller seems to scare them away. more sucsess if not useing the caller

This last patch is a disaster, the number of animals on Layton Lake has been extremely reduced. In 3 hours of real game I saw on this map 3 moose, 2 deer black tail, 3 coyotes but nothing else.
In a spot where I hunted the black tailed deer in the bow, no animal was heard on the calls.
The game has become extremely languid, I do not think I will continue to play.

gonna ask the obvious are you setting up at a need zone? My impression from the beginning is that ducks are very tied to need zones you won't be able to call them into an area away from one.

sure doesn't look like you had any problems at the blind to your southwest.

spawned and killed them. and some locations like at the railway bridge pond. you dont need to do anything thay will just come in there. but set up anywhere else with needzones and shoot a few ducks and the needzone gets deleted. and when you go back next time the hunting pressure has gone the ducks will ignore it copmletly. lm just trying to point out a bug. play the game and you will see that the decoys and call does not work after this patch. it was working perfectly before it. thay say thay fixed other callers but broke this one :D+
lm not saying every flock should respont to the caller as that would be too easy but it shure is broken in most spots

I can confirm what 1Shot1kill is reporting. I had 3 flocks come in at the railway bridge pond but not at three other need zones where I had blinds and decoys set up. The other callers seem to be working for me thus far, but I haven't tried out the geese yet.

I just ran an hour test to make sure but they definately are not reponding to calls at all. And 90% of the flocks that fly by ignore decoys.... HOWEVER.... Out of my 5 blind locations, 4 were producing well and one sometimes did. The trick i found was fast traveling around and not sitting and waiting. I was jumping spots every 5-8 mins or so and almost always found at least 5 ducks and sometimes up to 15+.

They dont seem to show up mid-day like they used to. The best times I found were from 5:30-8:30 and 15:30-1830.

Also, even though they dont seem to land like they used to (flocks flying by) they still will land IF the flock is already spawned at your blind location or is coming into land as you travel in. This seemed to be the only time I saw them actually land after a lot of time sitting in blinds waiting and seeing them fly on by. Seem it is like others are reporting and they just head to whatever zone they are programmed for and ignore everything else on the way.

I will keep testing, but hopefully this might help others having problems.

Oh.... and DUCKS ARE STILL CLEARING THEIR OWN NEED ZONES DEVS
