Was excited for this map for all the open fields but its the deadest map out right now :(

Then don't run around too much, and use stealth and hide, animals will eventually show up

My best method for stealth is fnd a log piece or big rock under a tree and you will have a great view while in prone mode but still be completely hidden and be sure to use the spray to mask your smell if the wind is blowing the direction the animal is.

Try looking in areas with shade. Animals in Vurhonga don't generally walk out onto the trail or road in front of you like they do in other reserves. Places where tall grass meets shorter grass (or green grass) are good to check out also. Glass with your binos a lot. Also, the animals in Vurhonga see and hear VERY well. Most have no trouble spotting or hearing you 200+ meters away.

try to go to the lakes and rivers. you won't see much in the open fields.

I've no problem in Vurthonga, in fact it's the most easy map for me. I've gotten more than 15 diamonds from this map. Try areas surrounding lakes, swamp, and forests.

same. Much better since the last patch. Springbok are actually in herds now. My worst ones to find are the lesser kudu, now that i have a mission to hunt one i can't find them anywhere... :)

It like once you get a mission to kill a specific kind of animal they vanish until you finally complete the mission, then they pop back into existence (no matter which map I'm on).

Since I wrote the guide the map is accurate across all servers, I can go to a different server and find exactly the same animals as posted on my map above. Including the stampedes. This Africa map in general isn't dead, people just don't have patience.

There spawns are not random, at least not nearly as much as you might think. While you will find some stragglers anywhere on the map... there are areas where concentrations of animals and need zones are most common.... which generally (but not exactly) follows common logic as to where you might expect to find more animals.

Actually spawn points are random, they may spawn in the same area once in a while. the spawn points are random.

no they're not completly random. some areas have more of certain animals, the fields of hirch for example almost completly lack bizon.
