Compass and sound bar is missing

So I got the game in April and I started playing the game when I first got it. The very next day I went into the game and had no compass or sound bar so I'm not able to see how much noise im making or find my way around with out my map. Other then that I love the game. I have killed quite a few animals that I would like to get I real life

Try this and see what the setting is.

Load the game but when you get to the main menu instead of hitting continue hit SETTINGS

On the SETTINGS menu select GAME.

the 5th item down should be HIDE HUNTING HUD

Make sure that is turned OFF yes OFF as you are turning off the HIDE feature this will hopefully bring back your HUD in the lower right corner.

once checked or reset to off return back to the main menu and select continue and load into the game and hopefully your HUD will be back up and displaying again!

Don't feel bad, I had the exact same problem. Lots of things you are just supposed to know since there is no manual. How to enlarge the map IOT see requried areas/boundaries for missions etc... When I saw 'Hide HUD" my mind went to animal hides for some reason. LOL
