LOL
Speaking of "Doesn't seem to get it" You clearly can't fathom that a lure will lure an animal in.. IF THE ANIMAL IS IN RANGE. As I've already stated "There are no whitetail Deer at the lake." What exactly do you expect me to be luring in? Did I miss the memo where the lure will teleport animals in for you? Or make them appear out of the ground? Because if not.. perhaps you can now stop making yourself out to be completely stupid.
I get that you are convinced that the lure is the answer, but bluntly, at this point in time THE LURE IS DOING NOTHING. Is it sinking in yet? Is there perhaps another language I can translate to that will help these points sink in? Because if not I really don't know what to say to you anymore.
You are either a childish troll.. or a few cans short of a six pack.. either way, your attempts at "advice" aren't wanted on this thread anymore, so go be "helpful" somewhere else.
There will be a file in that folder named "animal_population" it should be a few hundred KB in size.(you may want to copy or make a backup of this file before we proceed any further)
Right click the "animal_population" file and select "open with" from the list that comes up then select "Notepad".
With the file open, at the top click "edit" then go down to "select all" and hit the "del" button on your keyboard.
Now close the file and when it asks if you would like to save click "yes".
Now if you have done this correctly your animal population file should read 0 bytes in size.
Right click your "animal_population" file again and go down to properties, tick the box that says "read only" and click apply then OK.
If you have done this correctly each time you close and re-start your game it will reset animal spawns and also remove hunting pressure.
No need to delete the "animal_population" file all the time, do this tip/trick once and forget about it.
Enjoy.

Anyone that comes across this with the same problem, please do not attempt the above without backing your save up. I did this earlier and it seemed to empty the world out completely. After just over 30 minutes moving around the map I hadn't seen or heard anything, not even animals in the distance. Equally, before I tried the above, the first search had me try just deleting the population file altogether so the game made a new one.. I did that and the game replaced the population file with what was already present. Nothing in game changed, same hunting pressures etc. I am not convinced that above guide is in date for what the game currently does.
I repeat, if you plan to try the above, back up your save first or risk ruining it.
I guess it's to difficult for some players though and they would rather go to an exact spot and shot an animal for a mission. That sounds boring to me.
P.S. Deleting files that automatically get replaced by Steam sync is not going work unless you disable Steam sync first. If you really want to delete the animal_population (I only advise it as a last resort) file make sure you have Steam Cloud synchronization turned off first.
Starting to bother me that most of this game seems to come out as "Yeah it's broken AF, You just have to kinda fight around the bugs to try and make it go your way." Maybe the Devs should avoid locking missions to small, set areas so the end user doesn't need to start deleting files or herding an animal that could just stop working at anytime across a map in an attempt to complete it? Games are, after all, about enjoyment.. and the more I play this game and watch it fall apart around me in a cascade of bugs and glitches, the less enjoyable it gets.
