Weak Brown Bear Attack

Is it just me, or do the brown bear attacks have very low chance of actually making contact with the player? I’ve had brown bears charge me on numerous occasions now, they’ve swiped and me point blank with more then 90% of their charges & swipes never affecting me at all.

At first these brown bears seemed scary and dangerous, but now their attacks are just a sequence I have to wait out until they flee and provide me with another shot.

I think the brown bears attacks and charges need to reworked. They don’t do anything most of the time.

It’s actually every bear that charges to swipes me (non mission related).

Yea but what I mean is the mission script for that mission might be glitching on other brown bears and causing them to have the same behavior

All bears will attack the spot at which you fired from if they do not drop straight away or on their way to attack you. If you remain on that spot they will attack you then either drop dead or just wait there or run off.
After firing a shot just walk about 10 m to the side and watch what happens. It's always the same some will kill you or damage you if you stay put. Haven't been hit for a long time so cant comment on the power of their attack.

i can't confirm, have been attacked and took major damage. but that was in medved. russian bears OP.

The bears in question are the Brown bears found at the Medved-Taiga reserve.

Ah okay.



But i only got attacked before the update so if it's a bug after i can't confirm.

But looking to the changes made i don't think that effected bear behaviour.

Either the brown bear attacks aren’t having any effect the majority of the time or I’ve been EXTREMELY LUCKY lol
