COW is a very demanding game so it needs it

Exactly what i was going to recommend but he stipulated "17" monitor nothing smaller or larger as 17"" and my thoughts were good luck with that. I have myself been looking into laptops as well and found the Dell to be the best bang for the buck, it will run pretty much any game out there as of now.
Nothing in that article you posted has a 17 screen and very few are going to have a 17" screen unless to dish out he cash for a Alienware 17" .

it also says it struggles with intense games at high settings cause again it only has a 1050 card, I know the dell is a smaller screen size but it has a 1060 in it

quite a difference look at this article and scroll down, GTA V and Metro Last Light are good examples of high demand games too, and its 20 fps range vs 40 fps range between the 2

I just highly recommend ya get a laptop with a GTX 1060 if its gonna be for gaming
Hardest part on all this is I have to clear the banker AKA My wife HA HA
the 1070 is great, its what I use now and it gets 60 - 70fps average in COTW at 1080p max detail
