Shotgun Aiming?
I've found with the Caccliatore 12GA Shotgun that even though i aim the same place on all animals, it sometimes kills instantly and othertimes takes a bit. Any expilanation why or can someone correct my aim?

Using the red dot scope one shotgun makes things way easier.
Try to take the shot as close as possible to make sure most of the bullet's hit the animal. So The animal will drop quickly.

well what shot are you using buckshot or slugs both can be effective buck at close range and slugs although they are a single solid projectile they have extreme drop and are most effective out to 100 yards as far as sites go i wouldnt mess with the red dot on the shotgun really and for the scope only on slugs

I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but it's a shotgun - it might hit in the same general area, but shot patterns are going to be random. You could shot 10 times with the exact same aim point and get 10 different results. It's the nature of the beast.

I've found that aiming slightly up or over drops every animal every time. Dropped a Bison with Buckshot by aiming slightly over to the head, it dropped right away.
not bad have used the slugs for bisons, there is always a bit of bulletdrop
