Sound Issue: Too low
Hello all. I have recently been playing cotw again an noticed that the sound seems very low in game. Its very odd. I have to crank my speakers to almost max to get it to a reasonable level.

It wasnt always like this and its only this game i have the issue with. Running logitech surround 5.1 speakers. Do the devs know about this problem or is there anyone else experiencing this?

On a side note, i also still get the issue that seems to make the red organs that you see when you view the kill screen alot harder to see, almost same blue/white colour as the undamaged organs about half an hour into playing.

Is it the overall sound, or the sound of animals/walking/shooting?

I use Logitech 5.1 as well, connected by SPDIF. Sound levels are a bit lower than other games maybe. But enough amplification there.
Maybe you set some kind of noise reduction? If your software is ruling out the wind sounds, there will be hardly anything left to hear :-)

Hello mate. Its the overall sound.

The reason I asked was that with the wind noise now dominant in game, it might have just been those other sounds appearing to be lower. But I guess if you are not hearing that roaring wind, then you do have an issue :D Sorry I can't help with it.

Hello again KaiEr. Yeah definitely overall sound man. When i crank up the sound to hear every thing else you can certainly hear how loud the wind is when its in proportion to the other sounds on Layton Lake though haha.

Hi Wiking 5th yeah sounds like a good idea mate. Il post this up in the technical section if you havent already done so to cover all bases. Im going to try some of the suggestions here (rechecking audio manager) to see if this is a problem. If we do find a solution, I will post it in this thread as well to help anyone else having this problem. Hopefully the devs will chime in when they get a chance as well.

Going to lock this and direct everyone to the thread created in the technical issues section so that others with this issues and anyone with any suggestions will all be on the same page.
