Score Range lvl 4-Easy ?
Hey guys, i found a lvl 4-Easy Moose that had weight range from 545-620Kg i believe and had a estimated score range of 187-245.

Now if i do not remember wrong, you need a minimum of 214 trophy score for that moose to be a Diamond.
Now given that this moose had that score range, could it be Diamond at lvl 4-Easy or does it have to be lvl 5-medium?

Is perhaps a lvl 5-Medium Moose a guaranteed Diamond ? (Given you have the bonuses obviously)

I can say that this moose did a trophy score of 197 for a final 902 Score.

Well i would imagine so, why else have that score range ? :P
Also i have had lvl 3-very easy moose's been Gold, so perhaps a lvl 4-Easy can be Diamond ? ;)

214 is not correct. It must be 221 or more. I've had a moose TR220 and score was 949. I highly doubt Level 4 exist with such TR, look for Level 5

Right, i was wrong there.

Anyways, i do believe that a animal can be anything between the estimated trophy score. Of course a lvl 4- easy Diamond rated moose would at least be as rare as a lvl 5-Medium if not even more rare.

My experience does not support this assumption. There is some overlapping, but you will never find Level 4 moose with TR over 220. Within the range 183-245, Level 4 occupies lower part only. Once TR goes higher than certain mark, animal becomes Level 5. You can also find Level 4 moose belonging to lower trophy range shared with Level 3 - I've had Level 4 with TR168 and TR182, both below 183-245 range.

Hmm.

Sounds to me as if it is a programming typo then. Cause why give the players that score range when halv of it issnt possible ? :p

I have had multiple Moose lvl 3 Very Easy scoring anywhere between 700+ Silver - 800+ Gold

It could be a diamond, but the chances of it being so are very remote.

It is intentional, not a typo. Trophy rating is supposed to be estimate. When you spot a moose with TR range 183-245, shoot it and you will get a moose with some TR from 183 to 245. It is guaranteed. Difficulty level gives you additional information - if it is level 4, you will get TR from 183 to ~ 203 (the highest Level 4 for me), and if it is Level 5 you will get TR from ~204 to 245.

Another example, I have seen Level 3 female brown bear with weight range 203-296kg and TR range 19-22, and I have seen Level 5 male brown bear in exactly same weight and TR ranges. For this group, Levels 4 and 5 are more common. Level 3 would be 19 at most, I don't think it ever goes higher than that. And Level 5 will never be 19.

While different difficulty levels can be in the same trophy range, specific TR will always belong to specific difficulty level, because TR determines level.

It's been my experience that a bagged animal is always at or near the lower estimate both for weight and TR. Generally it's not going to be a diamond unless the lower figure is within 90% or more of the higher.

If this is so, how does people get 1000 score animals ?
I understand that these animals are obviously max lvl and all, but are they something else then? outside both weight and score we find on the..."regular"...animals ?

You will know before you shoot it if its a 1000 animal as it should have just one weight estimate, the highest possible, so for like Reindeer it would have 401 lbs for weight.

Interesting.

Exactly. If it's a 1000 point animal both the estimated weight and trophy rrating will be a single number, not a range.

Just curious is this is verified or just a guess. I'm not trying to contradict or anything, but wouldn't/couldn't it just be the top of the higest range?

Can bigger bears scar smaller bears? I had and easy 500-600 black bear blow right past me like it was running for dear life (from upwind and I wasnt movng bear appeared about 60-70m away in open forest (Balmont Railway area). This thing looked scared to say the least. So I figured the only thing that could scare a bear that big would either be a forest fire or a lager bear. Into the squat I went in slo mo. Just around the next trail bend I found (and one shot) an 859 cin colored black bear. 7/Hard no less. So, was it possible for the bigger bear to scare the bugeezus out of the smaller (but still far from a cub) bear? Or was it just one of those things that happens.
