How is trophy score calculated ?
Hey, i really wana know the math to this.

I just downed a 5 medium moose (my second diamond potential) got both lungs with the 454 handgun, but sadly the moose decided to run for a mile so i lost quick kill bonus.

Score of the moose is as follows.....

TR: 224

QKB: 0%
IB: 100%
CH: 100%

Score: 792.

Now i wana know if that would really been a diamond if the QKB was 100%.

This gives you a breakdown of the different bonuses and what not. I do know you need 950 or above for it to be a diamond with all bonuses calculated.

He probably was a diamond I mean he's almost 800 without 100% bonus of quick kill.

He would have been a 957 with all bonuses at 100%.

This thread discusses how the score is calculated.

Should have shot him twice. With the .454 you can shoot a moose twice and still get 100% integrity.

Thanks for that link, but 957 ? How do you set that up ? (Formula if you can)

Sorry, am abit slow with math

On a related note, how do we know which calibers allow us to shoot 2 times and retain the integrity bonus?

I came across that somwhere for Rifles.
It has to do with weapon class and the size of the animals. So a Animal that can be killed with the highest cal weapon (e.g 338. Rangemaster) can also be killed with every other weapon.

Now the 338. Rangemaster is a class 4 weapon (Big Game weapon). so if we take that as reference it will look something like this.

Class 4 (338. Rangemaster): 1 shot = 100% integrity/ 2 shots 0%
Class 3: 2 shots = 100% integrity/ 3 shots = 0
Class 2: 3 shots = 100% integrity/ 4 shots = 0

.....etc etc....

At least thats how i understood it, correct me if am wrong.

Here you go.

The formula is: Trophy Rating X Multiplier + Bonus

So in your case: 224 TR x 2.040 = 457 + 500 gives you a total score of 957

MULTIPLIERS FOR TROPHY SCORE
Roosevelt Elk 1.236
Red Deer 1.818
Coyote 6.771
Whitetail 2.354
Black Bear 15.352
Fallow Deer 2.108
Wild Boar 3.021
Blacktail Deer 2.385
European Bison 2.844
Moose 2.040
Roe Deer 1.806
Red Fox 26.611

BONUSES
Quick kill bonus 100% = 166.66666 score
Integrity bonus 100% = 166.66666 score
Consecutive Harvest 100% = 166.66666 score

Where it gets even more confusing, is with some of the new animals.

For example, with the Reindeer. If my calculations are correct, then you actually divide 1.808 from the Trophy rating to calculate the score. Then add the bonus if any.

P.S. All numbers get rounded to the nearest whole number. Also, some of these hidden multipliers may be off a tad bit, but they should get you very close.
