Speaking of tracking, in real life the tracks don't glow as far as you can see either. In some areas realisim has to be sacrificed for playability.

I never said they did. My point was that the game has some odd sounds for the calls that does DO make, which are not realistic, but that the male grunt in game is quite discernible from the female calls that are in game.
I've run across some third party tools to extract the ARC files, but haven't played with it. It shouldn't be rocket science to locate and replace the audio resources, but without the vendor agreeing to support modding then every patch could break mods or vice versa.
