No diamond Coyote yet for me. Got a diamond rabbit this afternoon though :D
Oddly i've found a similar pack in that zone just now.

And harvested this XD
Came upon my pack while out with the shotgun trying to harvest to get the slug.
Saw them all running around a Moose that seemed to be frozen and even when I shot 1 and wounded another the Moose never even moved in fact I almost ran into it chaseing the other Coyotes.
I've only got 4, aside from the 2 that I got in missions (Mr. Black was diamond, and there was a diamond elk). There are people with many more than that. I've lost far more than I've taken (messed up with deductions for integrity/quick kill/consecutive harvest). But I never really paid any attention to scores until October, when the zipping animals were introduced.
Awesome.
In all my hours of play, I've never seen a legendary - which I find troubling/concerning. Countless mythicals, but not one single legendary animal.
I didn't even bother with the poor coyotes if wasn't because of that. I crawled like a slug to a tent, takes the 243, crawled back to the stand praying that the doggies doesn't get upset and... Profit. My first no mission related legendary.
Personally when I started to play I found a legendary red fox, now that I remember, but I didn't even know about difficulties...
