It's not easy no matter what you do. I can tell you that the aim point is the exact center of the screen. Getting the elevation right is the nightmare. Hours and hours of practice and I still suck with it. Guess I;ll stick to the compound.

I kinda figured that. But get this, I shot three animals last night just guessing where to aim. All three were vital hits. Buuuut I waited till they were 10-15 yards away. Lol. Maybe that's the key.

As an option, you can draw a 5-pin sign on your screen with a washable marker.

At ten yards it would be hard to miss. It's also much more likely the animal will drop quickly when hit.

I actually did that with the recurve in Deer Hunter 2005. Worked pretty good from what I recall. Lol

Here is a video from Flinter shooting bisons that might help:

The whole point of using a recurve is the lack of a sight...if you're gonna do that then just stick to one of the compounds...

Search Recurve Bow in the artwork section. :goodidea:

You look at the arrow and draw in your mind how it will fly once you release it. With a bit of practice you'll just know where to aim without much thinking. My main dislike is the long zero of the bow, as I mostly shoot from 20-30 m with it and have to aim low to hit my target.

I have an overlay for my graphics software that I can toggle on and off. I added a mark dead center of the screen with it.

This isn't real archery, and I'm not interested in it if it's not accurate. I don't have all day to line up shots. Compound is nice, but it's also heavier.

Yeah I think its basically asking you to hunt hiding in bushes and using calls to shoot from the closest range you can get.
