Question about Red Deer and the spawning system

Hey everyone,

just got 2 questions.

1.) To get Gold on a Red Deer he needs to be at least level 7 - very hard. Am I correct?

2.) How exactly does the spawn system work in CotW? Is there a new random animal generated everytime I harvest another one or does the game do that everytime I start the game?

1) Yes, Level 7 and higher would give you Gold in case you get 100% bonus everywhere. However, I think some Level 6 could be large enough for Gold as well, but rare

2) Exact algorithm is not known, but at least some animals or groups exist in the game until you harvest them

Ah men, I'm on the mission where I need a gold rating on a Red Deer and the only Level 7 I've found so far was silver because I forgot my disconnect from a MP game the day before which resetted my harvest bonus. The level 6's I found were to low then even with 100% in all three categories.

Ok, would be really interesting to know more since I got the feeling that the same animals respawn after some time.

Yeah, I also have a feeling that same or very similar animals are spawned in certain places. For example, castle area in Hirsh was visited by mythical red deer in my game. When I went to the west on the hills by the lake to find it, I found three (!) mythical red deers there, two on the same day and one some time later. Just yesterday, I was by the castle again and spotted tracks of 210-240kg red deer male, this is going to be high level one and could be another mythical again. I will investigate today or tomorrow

i hope that isnt the case, all my animals i find are never mythical or legendary, well except i finally killed a legendary coyote other day

Might be a possibility. I got my level 7 red deer at the exact same spot today (and he got a gold rating, finally) and a buddy of mine shot 2 albinos the last 2 MP sessions on the same map. I'll see if I can find an albino the next time as well.

Found male red deer level 6, got score 794! So, I am absolutely positive that it is possible to get Gold from Level 6 Red Deer in case it is large one, trophy rating over 162-165.
