Need help with the Hope's Camp mission
I have now tried this a couple of times. I stayed all night in the ground blind in Hope's Camp, used the caller, but neither saw no bears nor heard any animals nearby (except the background birds). Is there something I specifically need to do to get a bear there (in addition to the caller)? Do I need to have a specific wind direction, so I'm not scaring them away?

I noticed there are black bear need zones in east and west, with the camp in between, so I assumed the bears would be travelling through the camp between the times of those need zones, but no luck yet. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Unsure if it helps but every time I track a mission it seems to trigger an event that helps you get it,but not always.

What I do on quests like this, is set a tent nearby and just visit site on random days at specific times.

Are you standing inside the blinds?

When I arrived there to complete this mission, female bear was already nearby, so I crouched inside and called, and then sat there until I heard steps really close. It was time to stand up and aim.

I've got a tent near the camp to travel there fast. Set it up after the first unsuccessful night. And I am staying inside the blind, trying not to move too much, so I won't make noise. Guess I've just been unlucky and need to keep on going back.

I have been back to the camp every night (I rarely use the rest function, just hunt at night as well) and still haven't got this one. The only animals coming even near the camp have been coyotes and blacktails. No bear in sight and haven't heard any either, no matter what time of the night I go there.

That's weird, bears should be frequent in the area. Noise isn't really a problem inside the blinds, it is visibility - blinds don't reduce it much, so you really need to sit or even lay down to be 'invisible' and just listen for approaching steps while calling animal

I've been crouching inside the blind, so maybe I'll trying going even lower next time.

This was the solution to the problem. I hadn't used track mission, because if the bear is on sight, it is in the area in this case. I hadn't realized it also triggers something.

Took me two nights to get the mission completed. The first night there was a pesky coyote around, and as I had the "3 coyotes with a bow in Balmont" mission going on, I decided to get the coyote and try the bear later. The second night there was finally a bear. After calling about a dozen times, I heard it close and it really was, right beside the blind. Mission completed.
