Track Aging
Any of us who have actually tracked animals know the signs to look for to judge the age of tracks (other than looking at scat game developers...). I would be nice if somehow the tracks in the game could indicate age. I once tracked a large buck for most of a day and he made every attempt to lose me. Going up a slope and jumping to a lower trail, walking among a herd of does, etc. Damn if he didn't bed down in a post area behind a farm house. Now the game can't possibly show track definition or moisture seeping into a new track, etc. but maybe they could maybe use shades of colour (Canadian so yes it is colour) to show age of the tracks. Brighter for fresh, duller for older tracks for the same animal. Might be too much of an ask of the programmers...

I think only fresh tracks have search cone. Like you find a track, you see search cone on your phone, next if you find newer track then it will get search cone too, but if you find older track then search cone will stay on previous track. Am i wrong?

It looks like any track that animal has made that day shows equally. You will see tracks of the animal coming into your area as well as leaving, and tracks of them just wandering around that area. You will find that in real life for sure but if you know how to track you can tell by subtle things like moisture in the track, leaves in the track that would not be there for a new track, bent grasses or disturbed ground, the "sharpness" of the track, even the smell. There is no way for the developers to get this technical in this game but maybe they could "age" the tracks by colour. Freshest track the brightest, etc.

That's not a bad idea. At the mo, the droppings seem to be the only thing that indicates the age of the track path.
Maybe use a gradient overlay. Use it to effect the vibrancy or the tracks. The old track get less shine and less of the arcing fx.

I was under the impression this is correct.

Still, the colour fade level to indicate new or old tracks sounds like a good idea.

At present, poop seems to be the best indicator of how fresh a trail is - the animals in this game seem to void their bowels almost constantly, so if you pick up a trail for an animal you want to hunt you just follow it a few yards until you find poop, if it says very old I don't tend to bother going further.

In TheHunter Classic, there was an estimate of the age of the traces. It was then possible to track. In CotW, the track is not used much because it is too painful to use.

The tracking perk that shows disturbed brush also shows track age
