I thought RamMacks comment explained this the last time you asked?
Either way, as RamMack pointed out the Weapon Class in the Codex is far from accurate.
Sorry I was getting confused. I remembered I was using the 357 for roe and fallow, plus a few days and nights none stop gunning down things with the levers must have mixed me up. Chilling out on that challenge and I was going to hunt for the integrity, but forgetting what the paramaters were. Upon checking I just realised the 30-30 is okay for Roe and Fallow, haha there i was getting done in from using it, and now im thinking of cracking it out again haha. Now I want a new skin for the 243. Since the 243 has such a good wide range of game it's ethical for, seems like it might be a good work horse.
There is a difference between hunting for food and hunting for a trophy. You want the trophy intact and in pristine condition not with a giant exit wound on the pelt.
Not sure if this would be appropriate but I've never seen a gun shot mark on the animals when i go to harvest.
No marks on the animals.
Might be a reason I'm having trouble gauging the extent of the damage done by big calibres.
Your comment make perfect sense.
Who would buy a taxidermy’d bear with a massive whole in the side.
Would adding wound texture on the animals be appropriate?
As for taxidermy... well I mean, we're blowing holes in the animals skulls and necks as well here.
Yes, but for the sake of the game, to keep things simple they made it so that there are penalties to using calibres that have the potential to ruin the hide/skull of the animal. Smaller callibers for smaller, more delicate game and larger calibers for the larger game, otherwise everyone would be running around shooting everything with the .338 (some do anyway).
Me too that annoys me to have 0% of integrity whereas I use the category of adapted weapon.
the 243 isn't friendly for Musk deer, but I got 100% for a Lynx using it. Would have thought if it's not okay for musk it wont be for lynx.
It's great on reindeer.

Just think of a musk deer like it is a red fox and needs .223 and the lynx like it is a coyote and takes .243.
While I agree and it would be nice to have this information in-game, I'm not a developer. As a moderator, the best I can do is help by providing a link to a useful Document from a helpful community member.
I really hope they work on the codex. As a whole the descriptions and stats of the weapons items and and aspects of the hunter world doesn't always give the best instructions.
But thanks PicSoul. I'd be screaming at the game if it wasn't for the charts :)
It isn't that bad, just write down the species list I gave you with the rifle calibres.
