Albino Rare?
I recently got the south america dlc, today I got pretty hyped when I saw and killed an albino puma. I have never seen an albino, although I have only played this game for about 60 hours. Based on what I read albinos are pretty rare. However just now I was killing some water buffalo and I noticed one I just killed was also albino.

Is albino rare? Did I just get incredibly lucky to get two within an hour of each other? Or is it not as rare as I thought.

You have gotten VERY lucky!! I've got several hundred hours in PF and have never seen an Albino Water Buff or Puma.

I also just now got a leucistic blackbuck. What is going on right now.

Differs for everyone, some get all kinds of rares in a reserve while others hardly see animals in that very same reserve.
Count yourself lucky ;-)

I can tell u i have roughly 140hrs played mainly on hirschfelden. I not even had other color-varietie then the standard fur color.
I play vurhonga savanna since last weekend and scored a albino buck and some color-varieties like red fur and golden fur.
So probably u got reeeeeeeallly lucky....

One of My first kills was a albino deer in the lake map. I dont have the trophy lodge so kind of pointless for Me.

Chances are they upped the rate of 'rare's' and 'diamonds' due to the new trophy lodges and people wanting to fill them, or complaining they wasted their money!

That could be true. A little sad though since its a nice long term goal to work on with the new lodge to fill out.

I'm still not convinced the new reserves don't have boosted rates. I find a ton of stuff in PF. Diamonds, rares, etc.

only played for 27 hours and i found an Albino roosevelt Elk, didnt know Albinos where so rare until now. good thing i saved the harvest.
lets put it this was I just got my first Albino and I been playing for just over 600 hours. It just really depends I guess as some players are full of Albinos and others it's like a drought!

My first Diamond ever, after over 1000 hours of play time was about 2 hours my first time playing PF. Trying to call in a blackbuck doe and just happened to see a buck hiding in the trees, he was my first and only diamond so far.

Yeah they sure are pretty, we could use a few albino and mel lion in Africa.

Some "rare" furs are more easily harvested on one reserve than they are on others. Piebald Red Deer seem to be more common in PF than they are in Hirsch for example. It could be that there are more rares in the newer reserves or it could simply be that they are easier to find in them. In PF and Savanna open areas are much more abundant.
