Is there a plan to allow smaller plaques to accept antler mounts? There really is no reason I should need an XL plaque to mount the antlers of a Blacktail deer. Just antlers mind you, not head or head and shoulder mounts. In Lake I have 4 species of deer and black bears. What do I fill all the itty bitty plaques with>>>ducks? Aside from that, an antler mount for a Whitetail or Blacktail is dwarfed by the size of the plaque making it look ridiculous. A little leather cup covering the skull plate area would also be a nice addition.

You must not be near filling your lodge because the taxidermy is very expensive.

I'm thinking Mystery has a point. With Tru-Rack coming there will be a need for more places to put horns and antlers. Aside from that, antler mounts should cost significantly less than full body mounts.

I agree. I also think that many of the plaques are just too big and I would like to be able to mount a larger variety of animals on some of the smaller plaques, even full head mounts.

Sure thing. I just checked out what a horn mount of a blacktail would look like. The antlers are completely separate. Nothing connects them at all. Just two halves of a rack stuck on a board. Maybe they could design a European Mount to help fill up the board but I'd settle for a one size reduction in plaque size than for medium sized game and up. Shift the placing of the mount upwards a little and there'd be room for a little plate with the TR on it or 8-Mythical etc...

I'd be okay with just a small room dedicated to small game like jackrabbits and fox heads to be honest, the tables also make great displays for birds, the rest should support deer heads/antlers, especially with Tru-racs coming in the future.

First let me say that I like having the trophy lodges. They are awesome. Antler mounts need only enough wood to hold the skull plate, a little border area and perhaps a small plate to describe trophy details. As it is, the plaque size requirements overpower the antlers/horns making the wall display more wooden artistry than animal. Perhaps, with the coming Tru Rack system, some further thought could be devoted to this matter? All in all though, the lodge is a nice piece of work.

Same problem here. Some of the medium stands should be able to hold larger animals. cant even get a mule deer or Puma on most of them.

I think this can entire issue can be solved if the plaques are just cosmetic and 100% independent of the actual animal being mounted. I think there should be an invisible mounting point on the wall that can accept any size of animal or antlers/horns. The player could then "rotate" plaques of various sizes, or remove them completely for head-only mounts, and decide what looks best. If you wanted a room full of moose racks on tiny plaques, hey, it's your lodge -- do what you like!

Similarly, I think that the plinths should not be tied to animal size. During the beta I as able to place bears on the small stands; they looked great when in the sitting pose. Yes, I realize a moose is not going to look good on such a stand, but that is why you would not mount one there; the player can decide.

I'd pay in game currency to be able to upgrade the size of the plaques.

Wish we could add more stands and head mounts to Layton lake trophy lodge because I can't get\Buy the lodge DLC packs
