Yes, in Weapon Pack 2 (DLC). It is well worth the price as it is probably the best all-around gun in the game

Probably the gun I use most. Very reliable.

Cheers, just bought that DLC now. :)

When I looked at the Mosin I thought the penetration and certainly the expansion (soft tipped) very under represented. I also thought the lack of a poly or steel tipped rounds was a total shame.

Does it shoot better than the in-game stats suggest? Off the top of my head I think it's penetration 17, expansion 15.......something like that and, frankly, not very exiting for a 7.6mm service rifle !!!

The stats on Ammo can not be true on the Mosin. This Weapon is by far the best Class 2 Weapon and i had shoot Gold Elk and Bears with it.

Just used it, it seems pretty good, except.. Where is the polymer tip bullets for it? Only rifle ammo that shows up from the DLC is the soft point for Mosin, and two types for the Drilling Rifle which seems to be a shotgun anyway?

No poly's for the Mosin. The drilling is a shotgun and a rifle in one, but I don't know much about it 'cause I never use it.

I've had bears and Elk with the.270 with poly tipped ammo.......!00% quick kill and intergrity...far better kill stats than the Mosin....far better penetration and expansion for a smaller calibre round. The only thing the Mosin seems to excel at is long range Class 2.

I have to suggest that the Mosin Nagant would make a great gun in this game if the expansion of the soft head 7.62mm round was truly represented...and if poly or steel tipped ammo could be used making it a Class 3 weapon. I reckon that this difference would truly represent what this particular rifle would be like in the field.

In fairness to others....just my thoughts. For me, the Mosin, as represented in-game, was a disappointment.

yeah just wish they would add the PE or PU scopes for it for those wanting to hunt with it in it's nostalgic form!!

Might be nice to see a dlc that offers such things...less weapons but more , scopes and ammo variety. I'd love to see a Class 3 hard point for the Mosin.

The Mosin may not have Poly, but the actual ammo acts like Poly... The Mosin is better then the .270 dont look ion the stats , try it! The devs have screwed something here, cant be true whats showing.

@Beschuetzer...okay mate....I'll give it a go, fair play. I always wondered if it was just understated in the game stats.

Odd that a soft point should act like a hard point though !

I love and hate the Mosin at the same time.

It's the best class 2 weapon so I love that.

I hate that it replaces both the .243 and .270. It takes out choice without taking the Mosin you're basically gimping yourself.

To put it simple, the Mosin in the game as it stands is to good.

Okay, I bought the Mosin and went out with it.....blooming brilliant gun !!! Many thanks for encouraging me not to trust the stats. I take all my previous comments back !
