Where to hunt Coyotes in Cheelah?
Doing some mission, I drove down to Cheelah lake and used the Jackrabbit distress caller, but nothing came, I was also in the tower that can be built.

If you drive you may of scared them. I actually rarely hunt coyotes but find that I kill a lot of them.
I’d honestly suggest just go about your business and when you hear one call, hide and call it in. They often take a while, sometimes 10 minutes but I find them the most satisfying hunt.

There is of course need zones for them but they can be hard to find because you often disturb them before you see them.
If you see a dead rabbit on the ground click it, it will probably be a coyote need zone.

In south cheelah there is a big lake sat inside a mountain, look above that and see a very small lake, I found a big pack there once with a level 8 and 9 in it.

You may not call animals simply as YOU want.
It is better to call them in, if you either see their tracks (and the droppings are fresh) or you hear one.

Take a look at the need zone symbols on your map.
So you probably can find out, when and where to find coyotes.

I guess it's a timing thing because I did exactly what you did...went to Cheelah on the bike, set up the tower and called the coyote in. I also built a tent in that location so that I could 'rest' off the bike noise. I did take a while before any coyotes came but they did eventually. They seem quite cautious even when called in.

you only can call animals if they are near , walk arround open your eyes, its still a hunting simulation where you not always instant have animals to shoot... (and i hope this stays a simulation)

Yes I think it will stay as it is, because EW often said, that CotW is a Wildlife simulation, in which the player takes part.
It is NOT a Game, where the action is extra constructed/simulated around the player.

They are cautious, and i've noticed they like to circle around and flank you. i'll call them in and they'll do their mating/warning call from like the north, then i'll hear them and see them to the east. They spook super easy too.

That is right, but on the other hand side, as I stood still somewhere in the forrests of Layton, one time one coyote and one time two coyotes passed by only 5 - 10m away as I was standing near a tree. (:-o First time I was so upset, that I even wasn't able to shoot. The second time, one Coyote died. :steammocking:
