what's your age. and how did you get at cotw.
if you don't want to say precisely it's alright.

i'm 21, wonder if i'm one of the youngest players of cotw...

i found cotw because i wondered if this new thing called hunting that i just found out about was ever captured in a game. and if you look for hunting games this is the only serious one.

also looked for a relaxing game i could play when really tired. still one of my best buys.

I am 57 and did not play shooter games for about 15 years any more.
I tried two of the newest shooter games and have to say, that this is not my world any more.
Much too nervous, and much too much action. :steamsad:
So after that I first tried two other hunting games, but for me those games were not on the level that I expected.
So at least I found TheHunter CotW and that is exactly what I was looking for.
Meanwhile I am playing it since 4 months and one time per day, what leads me to Level 59.
Only few days and I am on Level 60.

Hehe, thats it. Level 60! :steamhappy:

BTW
I do not have real world hunting experience. But after I played the game some times, I watched many videos on Youtube and I watched a german movie about hunting! Those videos and the movie gave me a deep look into, why and how to hunt.

nice!

yeah fps games are way too fast for me too. i'm young but my reaction speed is garbage and i grow tired very fast off all the things that are going on.

I meanwhile am fascinated about so many things in the game, not only the hunting.
I love the many different surroundings, the wheather simulation, the sound, or just watching animals, not always shooting them.

58, been a wargamer since the '70s, and hunter since mid '70s. Too wounded to hunt anymore.

Saw COTW on Steam sale and that's basically it. I needed a zen game, this is it.

30. After a hard day's work as a doctor, I love going "for a hunt". I treat the game as a walking simulator, with casual hunting most of the time.

I am 59 years and from Finland. About 2000 hours of gameplay level 60. I myself have never hunted really and I'm not going to do it. However, the game will virtually find the mood that the real hunter will be attracted to. I have completed the tasks 80% (115/143), although I actually functions not only completed.

Yukon I've completed all the tasks. However, the last task was quite challenging. Spring gold hole in bear's heart.

36 from the UK.

I wanted a game that I could take at my pace, had beautiful scenery and also on an open world platform.

I enjoy games that take skill and patience.

I wanted to avoid the modern shooting games that in my opinion just glorify murder and violence like it is an everyday norm.

Been playing this around 5 weeks now and I’m level 47 with 4 diamonds but hoping to get more.

In my first week I killed a level 9 coyote with the wrong gun, I didn’t know what I was doing then, didn’t even know what a diamond was in the game...probably lost one there though haha.

I'm a 35 year old real life hunter from Norway ☺️ I've played classic since release, and that's how I got to COTW. I play this game mostly because it satisfies my need to hunt outside hunting periods here in Norway, and because it's the best hunting game besides classic. ☺️

42. I played classic for a while when it first came out, picked up cotw in the summer sale with all the DLC and have about 90 hours in now. I wasn't a fan of the payment model in classic but loved the game. I do miss some things about classic, though, like the harvest pictures and the different clothing. I loved putting on my deer skins and running around with a musket.

Are these questions you've been asking the last few days for a Psychology 101 course? I don't have a problem with it, but I have seen this sort of thing on other forums.

Perhaps writing about gamers with Paranoid Personality Disorder might get you a solid A on that paper.
