You are max level (Which hardly anyone is) and you have never noticed the loading sign since day one?
Says a lot...
EDIT: It would appear that since the last patch rather than appearing and disappearing... its now constant. My bad, in grumpy mode.
Wasn't always visible, either, it's just something they slipped into an update at some point within about the last year. But I don't believe it's something players should even have to see. None of the people I play with like it at all, and we wish we could hide it, like it used to be. As I said, it's quite distracting.
Many people are max level (I'm one of them). If you've been playing since day 1, you most likely maxed out long ago, actually.
Also, this flashing 'saving' icon WASN'T always popping up and visible onscreen during a hunt, like it is now. In the early days you never saw it like you do now.
Actually, I had not played for several months. I am not sure if it was not there my day one. Just started again and started noticing it. I think it may have been slipped in during an update while I was not playing perhaps. I had noticed it a little but thought it was when I had gained points towards a perk point or skill point. Then today I noticed I was not gaining any new perks points and learned I was maxed out.
That is why I asked.
I agree. It is not horrible, but it distracts every time for a second and just feels out of place. It would be less "bad" if it were below the HUD Icon stuff lower right as that is always there any way.
Extra distracting for me as I play with minimal HUD. Often with no tracking indications at all, etc. So yeah. I agree with you and your friends.
Not as much as your reply says about you....
but I only see it when animals come into the area. (not necessarily visible)
Others have told me I am wrong...
But there's no denying what I have determined for myself.
Fact is... there is no reason to save anything if a change is not occurring.
The environment stays generally the same... only the animal's arrival creates a change.
I'm @ Lvl.60 and have well over 5K hrs played.
I have used this save to determine that animals are approaching.
And it has worked for me most every time.
But of course... people will tell me I'm wrong.
But I do not care what they say.
Ignore me, bad day.
You could well be right. When I was having constant crashing issues I started using a piece of software which automatically saved a copy of my game data to another location every 5 minutes and every 20 minutes. In doing so, it also shows me which files have changed since the last save. What this revealed was, after killing an animal, the population file is updated while you're playing, as is the player data and some fog of war files too. So where the animals are tracking to and from being saved as you play makes sense as well...
Each and everyone of them showed the octagon light up before they approached me.
All harvested by placing a tripod in one location.
I've no idea why people seem to have trouble finding grizzly.
My guess is they have no patience.
They are everywhere in the south east corner of the Yukon.
And I've found them everywhere else too... 'cept maybe in the west.
I'm more then sure that I'm right (octagon light display)... no matter what others might say.
It is proven to be effective/accurate for me... and for a very long time playing this game.
