Edited messed up the weapons class yet again HA HA
However, it allows for 2 shots if you are shooting class 4 animals, and since the magazine of 4, that is feasible. You could take out 2 or maybe 3 as well, while with the 7mm you need to be very lucky to do that.
But true, in moose or buf-country, I'd recommend carrying something stronger with you as well.
(I think it is a bit the same as the .300 compared to the .338. I think the true hunter-snipers would go by the .338 because of ballistics and penetration boasting that the 4 round magazine is needless because of their skills to place the perfect shot.
If if you are like that and can kill all with proper heart, brain or neck shots, the .270 or the Mosin -N is already enough, is it not?)
You are right on the fact that the 7mm is more versatile and able to navigate class 3/4, same with the Grilling Rifle.
In my tests, I loved the 30-06 sound but was a bit disappointed with penetration and dmg overall. You can take animals down with 100% quick kill, but be extra careful with the angles when taking your shot. It needs just a little buff and it will be well balanced.
As I understand it the .300 Magnum is class 4. It does give 100% integrity on Gemsbok though. On Cape Buffalo and sometimes Bison it seems to be a roll of the dice, this applies to all class 4 rifles. What is missing in class 4 rifles is consistency. I understand that the larger animals are supposed to be tough, but the same shot placement and same distance should give the same results. That is not happening with all class 4 rifles.
Ha ha ah. I have tried the .22 on a GRizzly charging me after I was pumping 5-6 air riffle pellets in him (one made it to the stomach.)
All 10 of the .22 did not penetrate the skin.
It left an impressive bloodspot though - 10 not-lethal hits glued together looks more impressive than a double-lungshot.
But did not do much good, was tracking the poor animal for several 100s of metres untill I find it dropped.
Most disappointing was 5 shots into a whitetail and it ran over 300m, until it died.
It seem, as if they are only made for rabbits, flys or bees, or something like that...
The airgun too is nothing for me.
All whitetails ran a few hundred meters after a shot.
And the other animals are spooked after a shot, like from the Solokin.
For me there isnt any advantage.
The 30-06 is not bad.
It doesnt sound as good, as the 7mm, but the recoil is a bit better, and too the magazine is an advantage for me.
the pistol is a 22lr it is made for small game hunting
