Best weapon against wolf attacks?
What's the best weapon that will quickly take down wolves and give 100% integrity? When getting attacked by a pack I'm using the .338 to stay alive ,but it gives 0% integrity. Killing lots of hard and mythical ,but with 0% integrity my score sucks.

Don't have that unlocked.

I would say it is one of the most important weapons to own in the game. Very effective against charging cape buffalo, wolves, water buffalo, and the occasional grizzly. I shot a water buffalo 4 times with it yesterday and still got full integrity. I've also seen a round from tthe .454 pass clean through a cape buffalo, lengthwise, passing through every vital organ except the heart, and I still lost my QK, those things are ridiculous.

I do not know if the .454 Rhino retains 100% integrity for a wolf.
Personally I chase the wolf with my Cacciatore 12G rifle and 12 caliber bullets.
At each attack of wolves I can lengthen 4 and the rest of the pack goes away most of the time (the cacciatore pulls 6 balls fast enough).
If I see them from a distance I use my 7 millimeters, but often they are only injured and run away.
I get killed rarely by hunting with cacciatore and bullets.

.454 does indeed retain integrity on wolves.

I'm mad at buffaloes, bears and lions only.

Agree, Especially close-range hunting and fast continuous shooting

I've been using the 7mm. It's a single shot rifle but gives 100 integrity. Just hope your aim is true to kill them quickly. Most of the time, I live.

.454 is full integrity vs wolves. But when not under attack I use the 7mm on them....

Ok

If you do not have the Rhino, close combat defense calls for a shotgun. The 12 gauge slugs work very well with wolves.
Longe range, I would say the Mosin Nagant, you can hit two times I think, but one well placed shot is enough.

.454 is easily the best for self defense, but you said you don't have it unlocked so I'd suggest the .45-70. Fast reloading and sure hits them hard enough. I'm surprised the good ol' lever-actions are overlooked in this game.

.454 Rhino, or the 45-70, as stated or if you want a real challenge try the 420gr arrow or bolt.

Lever-actions are the way to at closer ranges, I use a 30-30 Winchester for Blacktail IRL works extremely well to about 150yds.
