Problem with Xbone controller wireless and Steam Link
I bought this game to play in the living room on my Steam Link. The controller works if plugged into the steam link, but reverts to keyboard/mouse controls when I go wireless (blutooth). Has anyone had problems and/or found a fix?

I sent in a ticket asking why my controller does not save key bind changes. Below is the response I got from tech support. In other words, you're on your own with controller issues.

Hi there,

Thanks for your message. Please make sure you as a user have "write" privilege on that computer.

Just you know, playing this game on PC with a controller is not officially supported. Suggest you play this game on PC with mouse and keyboard instead.

Thank you for taking the time to report to us and for playing the Hunter Call of the Wild.

Best Regards,
Gary

You better use Steam controller settings and make your own preset because devs have not even touched bigpicure/link mode yet lazy basterds, it works fine with my ps4 controller on the steam link

Or, better, get a Steam Controller (often on sale). I love mine and use it with both Steam Link on the TV and directly with my PC. (I still use the mouse for shooting though.) I've made a good layout for my needs, including a custom weapon wheel, and use the paddles for E (good for picking up tracks while moving) and "scope off"

You dont need a steam controller map keys any more you know that right?
you can use any controller that steam detects in 'Controller Configuration' has the same idea has steam controller was made for to begin with.
