Which DLC map to buy?

I bought the stock game last year and enjoy popping virtual animal. So far map + animal DLC I see there is 4 of them, is it worth grabbing all of them or is it better to get the older ones (two of em) and consider the other two when winter comes? Do they come with better weapons or the maps only comes with animals?

Why don't you watch videos on Youtube to all the maps?
There are thousands of them.
Pictures resp. Videos tell you much more than words.
There you can see exactly what you can expect from the DLCs.

BTW There is an extra weapon DLC and on Yukon you will get the new .300 with much better Accuracy than the .338

you can play them for free in multiplayer and see if you like them

buy at least vurhonga and yukon maps, + weapon pack 2 for the mosin nagant. they are well worth the money.

I got the rifle score for .338 Is it true that the .300 really has better accuracy?

It is just what you like.
Africa is summerlike, has the lion, agresive cape buffs.
Russia is a winter map with big moose, lynx and brown bears. No small animals.
South America is more like spring, has great red deer and huge waterbufs and an abundant amount of pumas. Most people love it.
Yukon is more like autumn with snow falling every no and then and disappearing. It has grizzly and wolves and makes shooting foxes a lot easier. Maybe the most beautiful map, but it still has some bugs that should be solved.

I recommend all. But well, you seem sensitive for the seasons. And of course you can only play one at the time and. Africa I guess it would be.

I would say Yukon as it has a future but bare in mind being a new map (released June 25th) it is buggy as all out at the moment but once those bugs get somewhat works out I think it has alot of potential to be a favorite. It is my fav already bugs and all.

Layton is my second but that comes with the game.

I personally am not a big fan of the Southern maps and Siberia could do with a remodel to fix some of the things in it and even perhaps use the snow system like they have in Alaska which is a new system as Siberia isn't always covered in show like the map is.

They could easily make the snow like Alaska map just more of a regional amount of snow rather then always snow on the ground!

I wouldn't buy the Yukon map yet. Sure the map looks great and the wolf mechanics turns the game more exciting, but afaik you can't even start the third mission and you are locked there and the only thing you can do is the normal hunting. That's not bad but I think the animals in that map seem also to be fewer then other maps, but that might just be my impression so far, as I didn't invested much time into this map yet

Gonna start the Savanna map now until devs fix Yukon map

i've played through all the missions at the first day w/o any problems. and there are many animals just hunt at the water from 0500 to 0900 you'll drown in grizzly/caribou and bison

Well for me and many it isn't working, I've found countless posts about this issue with the 3rd mission

Yea I heard a lot of problems with the latest map ...... I would buy em all but that would mean nothing to get this winter sale ..... on top of that with my busy work schedule I could most likely enjoy 1 or two maps until the next sale. My preference is always mid to big size animals with long range powerful gun. Much like fishing I usually spend hours when I have time to sit in front of my screen waiting for the perfect hunt ...... so I would like to punch big animals with some powerful guns to release stress ..... digitally speaking.

So if I can only pick mid to big size hunt with powerful gun which two map would be the best? My own opinion is that the latest one could skip into the chiller for a bit until they fix the bugs, while I'm a fan of shooting african cat it does seems like they strip the african experience quite a lot, all the famous animals like elephants, zebra etc aren't there. If that map only comes with lions and nothing else noticeable I'll most likely skip those two map in favor the other two.

What ya guys think? Is there a list of animals in each map that show what exactly is there to hunt?

I'm having a lot of fun with the new map. Keep in mind that it's 25% off for a little bit. It's almost been released a week, at which it will go back to regular price.

I'd also highly advise to play multiplayer and find the maps you like. I'd personally pick the Savanna and Yukon, but that's personal taste.

For all those having issues with the 3rd misson... after you collect the poo, go back to where you took the water sample and the mission should advance. I think that's the water and poo mission.

There are plenty of animals on the Yukon map... It's new and many players don't know the hot spots yet.

Haven't tried the Savanna map yet but I guess I will today

Another way to do this also is test the maps out yourself and see. Just hop into a MultiPlayer game on the various maps and test them out and see which you like best both size/color and animal selections to hunt!

Yea I'll prob do that before deciding, hopefully the connection isn't @#% though. I rarely hitch on other player's map cause countless times my shot don't register at all.
