Unlike the King Zenith it will hold integrity on grizzly bears for example.
Now why is the .300 such an amazing practically game-breakingly good gun? Because it has a magazine.
There was no lvl 3 or lvl 4 type gun with a magazine, single shot only ... and then this. You can literally see a herd of Bison and take a shot at one, and take 3 of his mates as they run for the trees.
This morning I put a bad shot in a moose from 300 yards. I saw he remained 75-100% and so stuck a second shot in him before he went into the trees. No loss of consecutive bonus. No 4 mile hike chasing down a bleeding moose.
Something like the 7mm is a good gun ... but reloading takes an age ... this .300 though ... its something else. Awesome for devastating moose, grizzlies and plains bison on the Yukon map. When something charges at you, just keep plugging it. By far the best lvl 4 gun in the game.
I think they should put an ethical rating in the game :P lower your score a bunch and not give any xp or money for shots over 1, or gut shots, or flesh wounds that don't hit any vital organs (lung, kidney, gut shots wouldn't count since you hit organs)
that makes this post sound like what we around here call California hunters. When i was in middle school, or junior high, (about 33 years ago give or take a couple) or whatever ya'll call it now, i was at my grandfather's house when Moose season opened here. Couple guys with California license plates on their truck came out of the hills super excited to call their wives and friends about the cow moose they bagged on opening day. So Grandpa and i went out to see this Moose, and in the back of their truck was a young horse, 3 maybe 4 yrs old.
So instead of calling and bragging to their friends, Grandpa called the horse owner and the 2 guys from Cali spent the remainder of their afternoon explaining what happened to the county cops and horse owner.
I'll never forget the look on the guys face that shot the horse. From super excited to almost crying.
