Discussing Grizzly Behaviour!!!
In real life, the grizzly bears are aggressive. They are also notoriously know for “the grizzly bluff charge”. I wonder if the in-game grizzly bears will display realistic grizzly behaviour? I sure hope so. Thoughts?

Actually, they are not normally aggressive unless they feel threatened, are surprised or protecting cubs. To find them in the wild look in the high rough country, the rougher it is to get up to or back into the better. It's been estimated by biologists that only one out of 13-14 bears startled by close encounters with humans results in an attack. Unfortunately the bears do not wear numbers.

Any behavioral changes are nice, but I don't want the animals to become overly aggressive. I think the temperament of hogs and bison are perfect, but the buffalo seem crazed and bloodthirsty. Who knows, though, maybe some madman that actually hunts those things in real life can tell us if they charge that frequently.

x 1,000,000. Would be nice to know before hand. Might not buy this one if we are constantly getting killed by something. Tried to track/claim some black buck I killed and was constantly getting killed from water buffalo. Killed by buffalo, respawn at outpost, instantly killed again before leaving outpost, rinse and repeat until I killed em. It’s a little ridiculous if you ask me. Simply trying to claim a downed animal.

That's one thing I mentioned to my wife last night. I wish they would make all animals have proper aggression levels.

Moose are another good example a mother moose will charge if she feels her cubs are in danger but the moose here are nothing like that. About the only time you get hit by a moose if when you spawn in and happen to startle it and it hits you as it runs off.

So some of the defensive aggression I think needs to be tweaked to make some of this more real like and not oh you startled a moose or a bear and it just runs off without a normal charge or even attack.

They did say the new wolves will be more predatory behavior will be interesting to see if they do hunt the hunter like they mentioned during the stream.

I don’t want them to turn CotW into “aggression simulator”. It’s enough as it is.

cubs ? where does one see these moose cubs ?
How can you claim to know about moose but not know what their offspring is named ?
Last I knew moose offspring were called a calf or calves ?
...while Bears have a cub or cubs.

---------------

people that like to be killed by predatory animals are game players...
...not true hunters. JMO
I personally will not buy into a hunting game DLC/Reserve that is more like a violent kid's game.
I'm a hunter... not the hunted.
Purdy much why I won't buy into the african reserve or others like that.

It was an error geesh get over it you knew what I meant even with the error! Was just cause the topic was Grizz and I happen to be thinking cubs when I was posting!

And I never said I like being killed by animals but animals do defend themselves not all just run off!

I get that, but timid grizzly would be just as disappointing. Take bow hunting grizzly in real life, that is extremely dangerous, and if the game doesn’t portray that it would be a let down.

Looks like they just ruined another map. Just saw on Facebook where we’re hunted by the wolves. Really? When does the animal attacks end? Prolly gonna pass on this map.

We're not talking a blood fest but some aggression is normal when an animal feels threaten or her young are in harms way and animals in game should reflect some of the normal animal instincts to defend itself but certainly not a blood fest type attack like some in here want to turn the game into!

Yass please!! The Grizz should be charge happy as the Cape Buffalos imo and just as deadly!

Most hunting guides carry bear spray and a large side arm
in Grizzly or Kodiak Bear territory for protection.

Bear's in Alaska with out a doubt have more runs ins with Humans than the Wolves
So they should program some kind of aggressive behavior, whatever that may be gameplay wise
