Lost Taxidermy?

I was riding around on my ATV yesterday when my entire computer froze. I had to restart my computer and when i restarted the game it said that my game save was corrupted. I had to start all over. I wasn't too upset by that since I had not really gotten far in the first place. I restarted the game and this morning I harvested a really nice red stag. My first gold trophy. I chose to taxidermy him and upon traveling to my lodge so that I could place him, he was no where to be found anywhere in my trophy manager, or saved harvests or taxidermied animals. However, I do have the achievement for Getting a gold animal. Did I maybe do something wrong or can you tell me why i cannot find my gold stag?

Red Deer can only be placed on the very largest of trophy spots. Try looking for him on the huge rectangle plot, 2nd floor in the first room to the right.

I have checked every plot in the manor and he doesn't show up anywhere.

After you taxidermed him, did you check 'accept' when it came up? Also, did your money reduce? ( might sound obvious, but best to check).

I did click accept, I remember that because I was really excited. As for the money, Honestly I didn't pay much attention to that because I know i had enough to taxidermy.

You have to go into the trophy manager while in the lodge to find him. Select him and place him on a stand or head mount. Trophies do not get placed automatically but stay in the trophy manager until YOU place it.

Yes, that is what I did... The problem is that he was not in the Trophy Manager to begin with.
