no high tech for me
There's no point buying the high tech pack. I already have to leave weapons, tents, hides, stands and everything else at home when I go out hunting, it seems quite pointless adding rangefinder sights, night vision equipment and another bow to that list.

All these toys and the game won't let you play with them. Oh, sure, it's realistic. Just like me walking back to the spot I was savaged by a pack of wolves and slaughtering them all.

I haven't even used the stands yet because to carry one with me I'd have to basically take no weapons. Great. Trip to put up stand, trip to collect weapons, trip to use stand.. oh.. no animals here anyway, or it's night and I can't see them, or they're the wrong size for my weapons, or..

I really like this game but I'm also being really put off playing it.

Basically all of these complaints are easy to compensate for, with or without the high tech pack. They're not even reasons to complain IMO.

And even without the nightvision DLC it's easy to see animals at night anyway.

If you don't want to use them that's your right. One thing I'm noticing is the devs are getting the certain elements incorporated into the game earlier than I expected. I expected things like the dogs , pheasants, turkeys and some black powder gear to be added before the higher tech stuff.
I'm guessing they want to add that first and then add or elements later on.
I agree with your feeling on tree stands. It is a bother spending 10 minutes setting up a site when I could be hunting.
But Captian N is correct, you actually don't need the night vision for night hunting in COTW.
Still I'm glad they added it.

Why <<do I have to leave arms, tents, skins, booths and everything else at home when I go hunting>> ?
Maybe you have too small a bag to bring the desired material ?

If I were the devs I'd be so tired of hearing about Turkeys that I'd put just one turkey on the entire map and be done with it LMAO..... people making way too big of a deal about Turkeys. I do like the ideas of having mountain goats and rams though. Don't really care that much about dogs since I can find the bodies 99% of the time. Black powder would be cool. Pheasants meh.

You can carry 3 weapons, a few callers, and your choice of a tripod/tent/treestand. I have no idea what you are talking about with not being able to carry any weapons.

I’m pretty sure the dev’s got sick of the hunter crowd while they were working on Classic. Hence not having a direct line with us.

I am surprised they haven't introduced Turkeys and Pheasants yet. I get the feeling they're either not high on the list, or the dev's are planning something biggish for them, like a new reserve plus the turkeys and a new weapon or something.

I miss the Alpine Bex. I remember the Classic team, released the Alpine Bex a new reserve and the 7mm Regent or what ever they called it. Plus that climbing mechanic.

I can see the dogs being very useful for Geese and duck collection. Even time I decide to get out the blind to get them another flocks decides to turn up. But if there not for you cool.

I am liking the NV gear and that new RF scope for the bow, the NV picture isn’t too crisp so you still need to look and that scope doesn’t have a furthest zoom. But I do find it odd that they made that gear now. I think the classic team released loads more reserves and animals before we got to that stage.

Don't buy this DLC... that binucular doesn't have a rangefinder and that weapon scope is just for low range... We don't need a scope for near distances...

The only dlc I have that I don't ever use is the ATV bikes. All the other dlcs have something special that I love and many of them have a couple of things that I often use for a change of scenario (fun).

This new one doesn't really get me excited to purchase. Not because I think it's crap.....more because I've got so much stuff and things to do already, I just don't need anything else right now. I dare say I'll buy it one day but not right now.

What I would purchase right now is a small game dlc with a nicely spread variety of game birds and small game mammals....I would buy that right now, given a chance, over any more weapons or kit or even reserves ! There's such a lack of small game variety and hunting opportunities...such a shame.

The night vision binoculars do have rangefinder on them, and you can easily use the scope for 150m - 200m if not further and still get lung shots. The new bow sight will be good for people who have trouble with compound bows and want to get back into them.

There's a nice variety in this pack. Nothing is ever a got to have with dlc's, but they do offer stuff that always enhances game play. There's a lot of different people that play this game, not everyone will have the same likes and desires.

I'm always hunting animals at range 250-450 meters, so it's just a waste... if the binoculars have rangefinder why I can not see it in patch details?

Edit: I'm sorry for it but it's publisher's mistake, they didn't inform for the rangefinder. I checked it, it has a rangefinder.

Maybe they can work on the scope's zoom to 4-8x instead of 1-4x

That would be nice too as well as a night vision scope for crossbow.

I would prefer a dron :lunar2019grinningpig:

Is this an indication that they plan on making nights darker or have animals react to head lamps? Because right now the headlamp does about the same thing as the night vision.

I want a piece of electronics that identifies the direction of game near by.
